The Champions vs Roaring Raith

Recommended Posts

I still think Raith would start favourites in our semi just on the FT basis but we should give them a run for their money. The final would be an uphill challenge but look at Brechins unexpected promotion. We are certainly a better side than they were.

Forfar are far better than us. Without a doubt. So you really have nothing to fear.

FFS, Mathews was first to the ball, Whately came in at an angle and was second to the ball, the ref called it.

Doesn't matter, straight leg studs up right into Whatley. Whatley very lucky to not be seriously injured. The ref never called f**k all all day

I'll take this slowly for you, Matthews was first to the ball(yellow round thing), got the ball, Whately was second to the ball which was gone by this time as, you've guessed it, Matthews by contact cleared it.

Your considerable arse. Right into the ball and nothing else. Your man was too slow and came off worst. Have you got a telly?

You can't go into a tackle like that now

Raith fans on here wondering why Alba showed it over and over, pretty clear why, should've been a free kick to us and a possible red to the Raith player

If Matthews gets to the ball first then he’s not getting sent off. It’s as simple as that.

Studs first challenge. Caught the man. Dangerous challenge and a yellow or a red from any decent referee. Live TV. No hiding place.

Not the worst we've played, but our defending can be god awful. Thank god for Nisbet that's for sure.

Strange atmosphere at the game, other than some song about Starks Park there wasn't much from the Arbroath fans. Had a very pre season feel to it.

Don't think Forfar will be overly concerned by what they saw anyway.

Wasn't in the slightest bit interested about the playoffs but after the way nesbit celebrated his 2nd goal (tit) I don't care who joins us in the championship as long as it's not Rovers.

It's not about Starks Park. It's about Colin Hamilton, who effectively won the league back in February.

Watch from around the 20 second mark in the video here to relive the moment.

A draw was the least we deserved really should've won that but a draw will suffice considering we were in 2nd gear. Raith fully deserving of the worst full time team title in Scotland and that's with magic man McGlynn at the helm who was gonna catapult the Rovers to an overwhelming title charge after his joyous homecoming by his adoring fans.

Aye it all seemed so rosey back then, Smith away, pumped Dumbarton 5-1, played us and got that draw with McGlynn the saviour in charge. 10 points they were winning the league by

Instead.... they formed a guard of honour, clapped us on to the park in a game that felt more like a pre season kick about for us, a couple of weeks before the end of the season, finishing the day in 3rd place
