Hurlford are a very good team which had a dip in form around the turn of the year unlike Talbot who have been remarkably  consistent. The next meeting of the teams will be interesting after the 5-0 thrashing Talbot gave out in the first meeting. Personal wise I don't think there is lot between the two sides but I think Talbot have the better mental strength

Probably a fair appraisal. We have been reasonably consistent over six seasons, but unfortunately we are still a distance behind the consistency of Talbot.

We can beat anybody on our day, but they can play below par and still grind out results. As others have said, they are the benchmark.

Had Talbot drawn at Clydebank and then again yesterday then it might have been interesting, but to be honest do you really see them dropping seven points more than us and losing on the 27th?
No?
Neither do I, but one can hope. Regardless, the Hurlford players have reacted well after the disappointment of losing to Largs.

They couldve dropped all 3 points against us ... however it wouldve been a travesty. Hurlford will keep fighting til the end - and it was a great result for you yesterday - but the league is pretty  well over and deserved and at 30 games its a pretty reasonable reflection of how the season has gone - and with the distraction of the two big cups to take into account to boot. Not much more to be said to be honest - except that the rest of us need to raise our games.

do hurlford have any fans, considering they are trying to win the league .totally outnumbered by lok fans who travelled with nothing to play for

except for about a couple of dozen with red + white scarves /hats near the shed they had nobody. diabolical home support considering

maybe it was a wheres wally convention

Fans don’t win games, you have the biggest home support in the juniors but haven’t won anything of note in years.

Why dont the people of hurlford support there local team? Even cup games ud think the glory hunters would come out but at the quarter final the home support was poor. There away support tho at both games v us this season has been decent. Maybe they have a hardcore of 100 who go every week. Doesnt help when people jump ship and go watch talbot lol

Mon the papers
