Cappielow Cavaliers v ICT Cup Heroes (Tue 16th Apr)

Recommended Posts

Running out of chances to get more points onboard. Home game so we should be going for 3 points.

Hopefully against a tired ICT after their cup exploits at the weekend.

JJ surely can't keep the same team, line up and tactics for this one? He desperately needs to freshen things up, albeit with limited options .

I would bring in McKeown and move Iredale forward on the left hand side. We need a bit of width in the team and someone who can put the ball into the box to at least create chances.

Not sure who's fit for this from Thomson, Tidser and McHugh

I have a bad feeling about this.  2-0 Greenock Morten.

We haven't scored two goals in a single game since Christmas, so I'm not taking a punt on your prediction.

Seriously debating whether to go to this one.

Need to play our best team and hopefully get the 3 points until we secure a play-off spot. Then we can look to rest & rotate a bit for the remaining few games, we dont want to be going into a season play-off decider against Dunfermline again this year.

shitfest 1-1 will do

If we win this I don’t think we should be starting to rest players. We could potentially go up against Dundee United knowing a win would take us 1 point behind them.

Our squad is thin and bare bones with injuries and suspensions we cant expect over the next 6 wks for the players to go through 4 remaining league games, possibly 2 cup games and 6 play-off games (thats 12 games potentially). Gambling on over turning DUtd only saves us 2 playoff games, is it worth of not resting the likes of Tremarco, Doran, Donaldson, Polly for a few games to give them a refresh boost and possibly still miss out on 2nd spot - will end up with guys dead on their feet and nothing left to give at the seasons most critical games.

Don’t see any point getting hung up on how the semi-final affects ICT. Maybe a narrow extra time defeat would demoralise them and they couldn’t lift themselves for a game three days later, maybe they’d respond by being doubly keen to make it a good season by finishing top four, while a win could see them take confidence or start focusing on the final too much.

Focus on ourselves though and there’s absolutely f**k all reason to have any confidence, unless we’ve actually got a real manager taking the team and the club haven’t announced it yet. We can still put ourselves in an okay position by shitfesting a win out of nowhere but with performances getting worse and worse every week the idea of a clean sheet seems pretty laughable.

Hope Caley win on pens and go for a right good sesh on Sat night- shots, Charlie, ket, bucky, chip cheese doner  meat, hookers, casino etc etc.

If they do that, we might manage to only lose by 1 rather than 3 or 4.

Don't accept fans should give this a miss.

Feck the diddy in the managers slot.

Real supporters support Morton not the players or managers.

We need to get behind the boys in the ton shirts. While we have not been great if we can stop missing open goals and lockdown our own goal the season can be saved.

I 'll be there for all 4 games so get behind the team your team needs you.

More and more looking like this is the one for us. If we get beat again, we'll be going to Grangemouth on Saturday in total meltdown, desperately trying to get out of jail... and I don't trust this group of players (not to mention the management team) to step up for a must-win (especially with the Gods of Football looking on).

On the other hand, any kind of mingin win tomorrow night shifts all the pressure back onto QoS and, especially, Falkirk. Going there with a four-point cushion will make it a lot easier to get the point we need... or even the three that will likely down them.

JJ has to try something different tomorrow night. I believe he went 5 at the back as he didn't trust them as a 4. Well they're absolutely stinking as a back 5 and it's leaving us with no width and less bodies in attack.

Gaston

Tumilty Buchanan Kilday McKeown

Millar McAlister

O'Connell Oliver Telfer

Thomson (if fit/hasn't fallen out with the club)
