The battle for 2nd on Friday night football (Dundee United v Ayr)

Recommended Posts

We weren't very good but better than Ayr in the end. Poor team selection from Neilson. What a difference when Pav came on and great goal.

McMullen is much better through the middle and deserves his goal for his performances in the last 2 games.

Sow

Liam Smith looks a good player. Watching Watson makes me wish we still had Murdoch.

Diddees still tuning in to all our games I see. Wee shame on them tonight.

Not to disheartened by that if I’m honest. Didn’t expect us to get a result.

A really big ask for us now in terms of promotion, think it makes little difference now if we finish 3rd or 4th as long as we’re going into playoffs in a decent bit of form.

Pie in your faces eh. More of that to come this season for you I bet!

You'll be posting similar about us next season, you're going nowhere.

Embarrassing lack of comment on another goalkeeping horror from the young lad, thats three howlers  this season that have cost the team. Can’t wait for the he’s only a young lad whose going to make mistakes from the posters on here come on Djaffo defend the undefendable.

Kerr for Geggan was another howler by the manager gave everything away when he came on when we needed stability and for F—- sake stop playing  Murdoch wide.

Smith had @ good game so well done to him boy showed good energy

Shankland playing everywhere but where he should be up top and a howler of a missed chance to kill the game again.

f**k off you clueless c**t.

He’s arguably our POTY but nah let’s focus on the 3 mistakes he’s made.

Only embarrassing thing on here is you whenever you grace us with your presence.

Usually I avoid your particular brand of shite because it's not worth it, but you've outdone yourself with that drivel.

Away to the toilet you old zoomer.

Why did Neilson start Sow over Safranko and Clark?

Baffling stuff.

Baffling?  Baffling?

He finally starts 4-4-2 and leaves Safranko and Clark on the bench.  It beggars belief, Safranko got Neilson out of jail tonight.

We were

The players looked absolutely knackered.

Ten games ago in that break when Shankland was almost one on one he takes that down and smashes it past Siegrest. Today, he had feet of concrete.

Right.

All keepers make em. It’s always worse when they’re on the telly. Some more so than others. At this level, if you have a trustworthy keeper you’re well ahead of most teams. Dundee United don’t even have one.

He looks like he’ll have a more than solid career.

Looking back at some of these posts at 1-0 Ayr emoji38.png

In fairness between our record against Ayr this season, our record for coming back from behind to win this season, and our record in televised games for almost two years; people were pretty justified feeling safe to laugh and mock at 1-0.

He’s literally one clean sheet away from equaling the club record for most clean sheets in a season. He’s had some absolutely brilliant performances and in the 3-2 game in Dingwall he stopped it from being a battering.

He’s made 3 big errors that have resulted in goals. A spilled save vs Falkirk and letting a cross go right over his head vs Falkirk and the mistake tonight. Any Ayr fan will tell you our weak spot last season was between the sticks. If we had Doohan last season we’d have won the league by 15 points at least.
