You were all wrong on the formation. Mercer right mid. Doyley RB.

Substitutes are a different .csv I hadn't updated from last week's lineup.

It is difficult to second guess a tactical genius.

It was very clearly a 3-5-2 with Mercer and Marshall as wing backs.

Anyway, that was pish. We had enough chances to win that game twice. Dykes will be a flop at Livi. Yes, he creates chances, but without a Dobbie like talent beside him it doesn't make up for his utter ineptitude in taking chances.

Dundee coming down, Arbroath up, loads of nice easy championship away days for me to get to from Perth next year and we're getting relegated. Fucking brilliant.

All true.
When you factor in that he's benefited from the best player in the League having the season of his life, it's unforgivable that we're in such trouble.  We've also got two others apparently good enough to sign PCAs for top flight clubs.
Naysmith has failed dismally.

At the the time the Ayr away game was postponed there was a two week window that would have allowed us to bring in a replacement Manager. Far from ideal but the consequences of relegation are far reaching and GN has somehow managed to oversee a collapse of monumental proportions. Now 5 points from a possible 36.

Losing a goal direct from a corner was bad enough but the lack of goal scoring responsibility taken by our forward thinking players is totally unacceptable. Dykes missed several great chances today but in his defence he was the only player in a blue shirt who remotely looked like scoring and who actually took on any personal responsibility to try and score.Todd was totally anonymous today and despite being played upfront Andy Stirling showed no inclination to shoot or indeed get into a goal scoring position. I was very disappointed with both of these guys today. We really needed both of them to step up and take some genuine responsibility in the absence of Dobbie and I am very sorry to say that they were found wanting.

Remarkably it is still retrievable. We apparently have a great dressing room and if that is the case the players need to take some responsibility and get us out of this self created mess.

Great support today - deserved a better result than they got.

For the umpteenth time this season I was left wondering at the end as to how we got nothing at all from that?

We seem to specialise in getting in behind the defence and failing to capitalise. It’s either over-hit, hits the first man or goes right across the danger area with our players arriving after it’s past.....

Dykes once again put in a great shift, right up until he pulls the trigger and fired blanks. In the first half he ‘picks the pocket’ of the last defender, he is clear through but misses. Credit to the keeper for a save but the forward should be favourite to score in that position. He had a great turn and shot minutes later where once again the keeper saves.

There were chances at both ends, great save from Jack from their ‘one-on-one’. But we had the majority of good chances, just didn’t convert any of them. With minutes to go, Aird is set up at the edge of the box and fires it yards over. Keep it on target!

And to lose to a freak goal is just the story of our season. I thought we had the wind behind us, how did that drift in? And we had all 11 players in the box, all statuesque as the ball floats in and over the line. Jack looked as though he should have done better, need to see a replay to see how culpable he was, maybe it was a complete fluke.

It’s still retrievable, but we need to win next week, and the last game of the season against Thistle is likely to be epic.

Not entirely sure about that as we had a few excellent chances too, I can recall 4 clear cut opportunities for Alloa. However, certainly agree that QoS were the better side today. We started well enough and looked dangerous pretty much every time we put the ball into the Queen's box. Dropped out of it though and were rather disjointed with too many key men who weren't at their usual level. Luckily Neil Parry was and he kept us in it.

I thought perhaps we had missed our chance when the keeper made a terrific block to deny Hamilton after Cawley had opened up the defence, but then we got a break with the corner. It was a good delivery but it looked like the wind really caught the ball and the QoS defence again just didn't deal with it.

Huge credit to our team again that they were able to grind out that win on an afternoon when they looked a bit jaded. They have done us proud all season but the last couple of weeks have been just terrific. No midweek game this week so hopefully a wee chance to recuperate ahead of another huge game next weekend.

Decent summary.

Before the game my mate said there would be little between the teams we'd have a load of possession and contrive to lose an awful goal from a set piece.

Both teams had some decent chances but it looked all over a 0-0.

We were the better side today but  found a way to lose it.

1 point from 12 v Alloa.

2 points from 12 v Morton.

3 points from 9 v Thistle and they had a stone wall penalty turned down in stoppage time in the game we won.

A satisfactory 7 points from 12 v Falkirk but our return against the other relegation rivals is piss poor.

We'll need that support next year when/if  we are in division one. The last three games we've got progressively worse. On today's 'display' I doubt whether we'll even make the play offs. Until today I have not believed that we were a one man team...until today. Totally devoid of inspiration.  Probably one of the worst Queens displays for many a year. But like many others I'll be there next week hoping for a miracle...
