Tony Stark(s Park)
After voting for player of the season on Monday it gave me an idea of who other teams would award certain awards to. I’ve made a list, if you think of anymore then add them. PLEASE DO NOT PICK YOUR OWN TEAMS PLAYERS It’s just a bit of fun. 1. Player of the Year 2. Dud of the Year 3. Most Improved player 4. Goal of the Season 5. Save of the Season 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year 7. Defensive Player of the Year 8. Most Skilful player 9. Best away experience 10. Best catering
Silverton End
Ok, I'll play Tony. 1 - poty - John Baird or Bobby Linn 2 - dud - Chris 'hacksaw' Duggan 3 - most improved - Kevin Nisbet 4 - goal of the season - still a month to go yet & I haven't seen all the League 1 highlights thread tbh. 5 - save of the season - any save made by a keeper other than Grant Adam 6 - cry baby/temper of the year - Stevie Aitken tactical genius 7 - defensive poty - Cammy Ballantyne (apologies) 8 - most skilful - Lewis Vaughan when available 9 - best away experience - Forfar/Montrose 10- best catering - toss up between Brechin & East Fife, the steak & gravy pies at Methil edge it though. 1320Lichtie
1. Player of the Year - Kevin Nisbet 2. Dud of the Year - Rory Loy.. who would have thunk it.... [emoji2] 3. Most Improved player - David Hutton, incredibly dodgy last season but he seems to have found a club that suits him, he'll be in section B/Ibrox season ticket holder in 10 year 4. Goal of the Season - Daniel Armstrong at Gayfield in December what a free kick 5. Save of the Season - no sure, DJ has pulled off a couple. Stranraer keeper always seems to pull off heroics against us 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year - Bobby Barr, he's a bit of a hypocrite, forever greeting about fans giving him stick and winding him up when he does the same to the fans. I'm all for it and love it but has to realise his own role in it and he doesn't seem to, Jamie Hammill is a tool too always halves Bobby 7. Defensive Player of the Year - has to be an Arbroath player too surely. Conceded the least amount of goals. Would say Little or JT. But from another team.... Max Currie always class against us 8. Most Skilful player - Daniel Armstrong 9. Best away experience - beating Raith. What a day 10. Best catering - don't usually get food but I do like EF steak pies / Stenny burger van
Scary Bear
1. Player of the Year Bobby Linn 2. Dud of the Year Rory Loy 3. Most Improved player I know I’m not supposed to vote for my own player, but it has to be Kevin Nisbet. If not him then ??? 4. Goal of the Season It would be Armstrong’s free-kick for us at Arbroath. If I have to pick an opposition player. Baird’s finish for Forfar in the 1-1 draw comes to mind, but I’ll go for the Ross Forbes 40 yarder that put Dumbarton 0-1 up in the game we won 4-2 before Christmas. 5. Save of the Season ? 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year Barr or Hamill. Pair of gimps. 7. Defensive Player of the Year It’ll be an Arbroath one. The Arbroath central defender is a player. Not sure what his name is. 8. Most Skilful player I’m bad for only watching Rovers players. You have to be a pretty outstanding opposition player for me to notice you. 9. Best away experience East Fife on Saturday will be my first away game. I would have been going to Arbroath too but not now it’s on a Sunday at 4.05pm. East Fife it is. 10. Best catering Not Stark’s Park. I’ll do hot drinks there but the pies are grey sludge or the leftover bits of gravy at the bottom of an eaten steak pie. If I ever win the Euro Millions and take over Rovers one of the first things I’ll address is catering. Better unhealthy stuff; Carlton steak bridies, fudge donuts, etc. also some healthy options. I went to an Espanol v Mallorca game and everyone was eating pistachio nuts and drinking beer. Quality. Need to get beer back in grounds.
Jan Vojáček
This sounds like fun. 1. Player of the Year - Bobby Linn. What a season he's having. Granted Arbroath's form has tailed off a bit, and granted he's not been at his best against us, but what a player. Fully deserves the award at the end of the year. 2. Dud of the Year - I mean Rory Loy ticks the boxes, but he has been injured for the majority of the season, so I'm going for Jack Aitchison. I think everyone was pretty impressed when we brought him in, he did pretty much nothing and then vanished back to Celtic within about a month. What a disappointment. 3. Most Improved player - I've been absolutely blown away by Kevin Nisbet this year. I remember saying during his time with us that he would make a decent centre-mid (strong, good on the ball, very fit) but wouldn't be a striker because he just doesn't have the goalscoring touch in the box. Well he's made me look very silly. Most of his goals have been proper striker's finishes where he's in the right place at the right time, so fair play to him. He follows me on Twitter too - so further bonus points for that. 4. Goal of the Season - Ross Forbes against Raith Rovers at Stark's. The fact he told Bobby Barr he was going to do it first makes it even more special. A moment of genius. 5. Save of the Season - Patrick O'Neil from Andy Dowie's header during our 1-0 defeat in January. That could genuinely be the difference between Brechin City and relegation come May. 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year - Was it this season that Dick Campbell was sent-off at Stark's Park? That was quite funny. Chris Kane smashing Dom Thomas after spending 70 minutes running about after him without being able to get close was a full temper tantrum though. 7. Defensive Player of the Year - Ricky Little. He's always been a player I've had a wee thing for since his Queen's Park days, and it's no surprise at all to see him playing a major part in a title winning side at this level. Excellent player. 8. Most Skillful player - Dom Thomas. The guy can be downright ridiculous at times. 9. Best away experience - The 0-3 at Stranraer was a very welcome, and very pleasant, afternoon out. But for sheer drama the 4-3 win at East Fife is hard to top. I think I actually died twice during the course of it 10. Best catering - Genuinely would murder someone in return for a lifetime supply of Forfar's steak pies.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
I can confirm that anyone who isn't voting for Willie Dyer as dud of the year is wrong. Rory Loy at least looked like a footballer for a few minutes this season.

Easy Days for Raith
1. Bobby Linn, goals goals and more goals.2. Lewis Milne 3. Mark McGuigan4. Ross Forbes 40 yarder5. I know this isn’t in league 1 and I can’t vote for my own team, but the only thing that springs to mind is Robbie Thomson’s save against the pars when it was 0-0 in the first half...6. Bobby Barr. p***k.7. Ricky Little. Pretty much every game he had played arbroath have had clean sheets.8. No players stick out here9. Arbroath away, 2-0 win. Fantastic day.10. East Fife
smokie29
Best player- Kevin Nesbit, his goals have been crucial for raith this seasonDud- Rory Loy, caught my eye when he signed and hasn’t made any impact much the same as Dumbartons season, promising on paper but hasn’t been able to produce on the pitch Most improved- Kevin nisbet was never a prolific goal scorer so to see him maintain this form all season is very surprising Best goal- Daniel Armstrong’s free kick in December for sure Best save- recency bias here but Allan Flemings save on Saturday was fantastic Cry baby- David Hutton purely for his antics at gayf last month, the absolute seethe at both penalties being awarded was quite something 7- I know I’m no allowed to pick an arbroath player but Ricky little and Tom O’Brien have been the bedrock of our success this season 8- Daniel Armstrong, Colin Hamilton still having nightmares about him 9- raith away when we 1-0, atmosphere was fantastic the whole game 10- the Stranraer food van is excellent, a shout-out has to go to east Fife’s pies as well
Broken Algorithms
1. Player of the Year Bobby Linn 2. Dud of the Year Rory Loy 3. Most Improved player Bobby Linn 4. Goal of the Season Forbes vs us from about 60 yards out 5. Save of the Season Not a clue 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year Campbell at Starks 7. Defensive Player of the Year Thomas O'Brien 8. Most Skilful player Dom 'Dombarton' Thomas 9. Best away experience Brechin 10. Best catering Brechin
Cosmic Joe
1. Player of the Year - Bobby Linn 2. Dud of the Year - See question 6 3. Most Improved player - Dale Hilson 4. Goal of the Season - Take your pick from Dumbarton's goals against us in the 3-4 game at Bayview 5. Save of the Season - The Brechin goalie had a few good stops in the last couple of games against us 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year - Any club official who has refused to shake hands after a game (only one qualifies) 7. Defensive Player of the Year - Jonathan Page. Top human being 8. Most Skilful player - Mark Lamont.. Just needs a bit of man management 9. Best away experience - Dublin 10. Best catering - Possibly Montrose

Francesc Fabregas
1. Player of the Year Bobby Linn has been League 1's best player this season, and by some distance too. The sheer number of goals he's scored is the most obvious indicator but his touch, control, ingenuity and pace on the wing has been brilliant to watch. He'll be crowed Player of the Year when the campaign concludes and he thoroughly deserves it. 2. Dud of the Year A lot was expected from Rory Loy and Lewis Vaughan but both of them have been injured for long spells and it wouldn't be fair to include them. 3. Most Improved Player Bobby Linn, again. He's always been a great lower-league player but his performances this year have been on another dimension. 4. Goal of the Season Ross Forbes' 40-yard thunderbolt against Raith Rovers was absolutely sensational. I remember at the time thinking Robbie Thomson had made an arse of it but the way the ball glides into the net is a thing of beauty. A poster above me, also going by the name "Ross Forbes", says it's all the better because he knew exactly what he was doing. Daniel Armstrong's free-kick against Arbroath was a topper too. 5. Save of the Season David Hutton pulled off a tremendous save to deny Mark McGuigan's goal-bound header when Stenny defeated Airdrieonians a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea how me managed to leap across his goal and paw the ball away. 6. Cry-baby of the Year Bobby Barr is the obvious candidate but he's too likeable to get worked up about. Jamie Hamill, however, is a vile troll and I wish him nothing but ill feeling. 7. Defensive Player of the Year Thomas O'Brien. An iron fist inside a silk glove of a defender. A class act. 8. Most Skilful Player Dylan Easton has bags of talent but he's too much of a luxury at times, so I'm nominating Dumbarton's Dom Thomas - the kind of player who can create moments of magic from nothing. 9. Best Away Experience I've only been to a handful of away games this season but I had a great time at Albion Rovers' win over Cowdenbeath on Tuesday night. Not a tremendous game by any means but the noise at the full-time whistle was brilliant to experience. Who could have imagined the Vers would ever finish in ninth place! 10. Best Catering I do not eat the slop served up at football grounds.

Best catering Since I've an hour to kill at work here, I'm doing 2, one for other teams and one for Airdrie.1. Player of the YearFor me its Bobby Linn, he's been absolutely pivotal in Arbroaths run to being crowned Champions. Hat-tricks, winning penalties, scoring penalties, a dead ball specialist, and (in the best possible sense) a thorn in the side of every team in the league at some point. If he's not nominated its a travesty. And he follows me on twitter so he gets my vote. 2. Dud of the YearI've got to say, with all the hype surrounding his move and the weight of expectation, its got to be Rory Loy.I personally thought he would have made big waves in the division this year, but obviously injury hampered it. Dudtastic. 3. Most Improved playerI'm genuinely struggling with this, as I only see teams 2 (3 most) a season.I might come back and edit this to add someone. 4. Goal of the SeasonGary Irvine's against Airdrie in Forfar was an absolute thunderb*****d. 5. Save of the Season Can't really remember any I've seen in the flesh, but I've seen Jamieson make a few belters on the highlights.6. Cry baby / Temper of the yearI would say Bobby Barr but I actually don't dislike him and he's been pretty subdued this year, John Baird had a few words with Jim Weir on Saturday there but I think I've got to give it to Rovers poster Frank Conner for his performance a few weeks ago. 7. Defensive Player of the Year TOB - Arbroath. A class act.8. Most Skilful player I liked Armstrong at the Rovers, Linn's pretty handy, McCord oozes class and East on at Forfar when he fancies it. 9. Best away experience I like the drive to Angus between Perth and the destination and the locals are pretty friendly in most of them.Stranraers sh*te, and I've a soft spot for Stenny as I think its my most visited away ground ever. 10. Best catering Brechin/Forfar.

nofixedability
1. Player of the Year Bobby Linn, broken record in this thread but it is true, he beat us almost single handedly on a couple of occasions and it sounds like has done same to others, plus goals record is terrific for a non striker. 2. Dud of the Year Rory Loy. 3. Most Improved player Not that I's seen him before but Anton Dowds has clearly made quite the step up and flourished. 4. Goal of the Season Linn's third against us at Station Park. 5. Save of the Season Brett Long made a good one against Forfar in EF's 4-0 beating of us when it was just 1-0. 6. Cry baby / Temper of the year Will agree with Ammo here the poster Frank Connor is an utter mess on here. 7. Defensive Player of the Year TOB. Knew he was good with us will be very interested to see how he gets on in the Championship. 8. Most Skilful player Dylan Easton but whether that translates to anything approaching an end result is another matter. From elsewhere Ross Forbes is always a class act. ANd of course Linn. 9. Best away experience Love a trip to Gayfield, 10. Best catering Brechin.
