Alex McLeish Is Sacked.

I'd do everything to get Allardyce in, but I imagine it will be Strachan or Moyes.

Haven't read too much about the sacking today, but is it just McLeish who has gone, or the likes of Grant and McFadden? Hopefully the lot of them.

The lot of them are away, thankfully.

We could field this as an XI

Bain - Europa League knock-out stage with Celtic

Tierney - Europa League knock-out stage and CL groups with Celtic

Cooper - top Championship club in Leeds

McKenna - Aberdeen but likely to move soon

Robertson - Champions League finalist with Liverpool

McTominay - Champions League with Man Utd

Armstrong - EPL and has played CL with Celtic

McGregor - Europa League knock-out stage and CL groups with Celtic

Forrest - Europa League knock-out stage and CL groups with Celtic

Fraser - Top performer in a decent EPL side in Bournemouth

Griffiths - Europa League knock-out stage and CL groups with Celtic

That's before you include players like Matt Ritchie, Robert Snodgrass, Callum Patterson, and a host of players playing towards the upper end of the Championship.

The quality of player is more than good enough to have us as a side which should be qualifying for the Euros. We should be third in this group with ease. The reason we will potentially achieve neither is down to a shite manager, not to do with the standard of player being developed.

DAFC, pls advise?

It's so important that a good appointment is made this time, but I've very little faith in that happening.  I can absolutely see it being Gemmill, with the strategy simply involving the crossing of fingers.

This unfortunately.  We panicked and rushed into a shite appointment last time despite having absolutely ages to make a decision.  Realistically we've got a month now before someone really needs to start preparing us for the June games.  So either an uninspiring caretaker before an ultimately uninspiring appointment, or we just jump straight to the latter.  Haud me back.

Would like a younger boss Ross or Neil who may or may not take it cos there in a job and doing well

Which prob rules them out as the SFA won't pay compo

Maloney is number two with Belgium to might be worth a interview

And then there are guys like Bilic and Kozak with CV off taking nations to finals who are unemployed

Ross would be wise not to entertain the Scotland job.
