It has to be Somerset, much as I dislike the wahoos, it is an excellent ground to host a Junior Cup Final. Place will be jumping and sure if Hurlford get there, they will join forces with their East Ayrshire brethren for a few verses of Paper Roses.

Heard it might be Hamilton or Falkirk

Glad we were pumped ages ago! Not a fan of either ground and the fans would be lost at Falkirk.

They surely must be other grounds available instead of these 2

Most senior grounds with grass will have been shut for maintenance for almost a month by the time the finals comes around. It should be grass but it also should be held earlier.

Depends on the club - last league games for grass pitches in the west of Scotland:
Motherwell and St Mirren - 11 or 18th May
Ayr - 8/11th, 15/18th, 23rd depending on play-offs
Partick and Greenock, Dumbarton - 4th May if no play-offs, otherwise 11th then 15/18th

2 possible Ayrshire Teams trekking to Falkirk is shocking, is somerset no available

Think the issue is they won't know when it's available until the play-off fixtures are decided and it also depends on how far Ayr progress. The last game would be the play-off final 1st leg on the 23rd so the Junior Cup final could be the last Sunday in May, but then will it closed for maintenance by that point?

Has that actually been confirmed?

Ayr played their final home game last season on 28th April, and their first home game this season on 14th July (11 weeks). If they got to the play-off final it would be just over 7 weeks this season. But asking them to cut that to 6 weeks might not be possible...

Why does the final have to be after the grass stadia are closed? It's not like the final date has been set at the outset of the season. Still not been confirmed AFAIK.

If Talbot win on Saturday will you be attending the final?

Do you want me to?
