What's so special about junior football compared to any other football? No-one has ever managed to explain this.

It has a special atmosphere dispite as stated before there was nothing different when we played any ex junior team

Any time between 1.45 and 2.30pm is fine by me. It will mean the 4 games a day saddos won't touch it with a barge pole. Perfect. Of course the turkeys who voted for Christmas and who gush about the spotter fests will be able to have their annual anorak invasion. The love in with the anoraked hordes from those whose teams  don't even play on the juniors, yet linger here is bordering on the pornographic. Is there nowhere for your 'superior' football to be discussed?

That's you sorted then if a Juniors Groundhop happens. Inverkeithing v Heriot-Watt kicked off at 14.15 as part of the groundhop and other clubs not participating kicked off at 14.30. You'd have plenty of options.

Renfrew and Ardrossan moved their games to Friday 28th December so they avoided the Old Firm match, presumably because they thought they'd get more people than the following day. If you said to them you're going to get an extra 200-250 spectators for doing the same thing again at the end of March as part of a groundhop weekend they'd probably do it again.

Somewhere north of the Tay, if they're going to descend on the West would do me fine...but I have that luxury.Clubs' supporters aren't so lucky and THEY are what matters, not me (I fit in with normal kick off times.) Naturally, the spin will be that loyal supporters 'don't mind, as it's one off' or some such tosh. regardless  whether it's true or not ( Not ALL involve themselves in internet forums. focus groups or trendy initiatives, they just turn up at 2 ( pedant alert), pay their way in, watch and go home.)

Moving a game for those reasons is entirely different to doing so to be a part of a circus though, isn't it?

You'd be better beating ter bawz with a cricket bat on here Froggie. It's like the other thread where they circle somebody who doesn't agree and hound them off the thread. I think you will find there is very few Junior fans partake in their shitfests.

Hurry up Froggie this throbber out to get me. I can't take many more red dots

The spotters have got a back up artillery of 200 who'll batter you senseless with their plastic bags and satchels...as long as the battles are scheduled for 11, 2, 4 and 6, so their mates with camera lenses the size of a family car don't miss anything, Be careful out there.

Is it? In both cases you're moving a game so that people who wouldn't otherwise be there can come and watch your game. Different reasons but end result is the same.

Don't worry Blackie, you've got a LONG way to go to catch up with Talbot1978 and Kilbowie Benches

It had been a worry, we were beginning to run out of clubs to visit in the old East of Scotland League’s set-up and I’d found myself thinking about my attempts to bring in the Juniors.

Back in 2016 I’d rather enjoyed myself in presenting the Groundhop concept to the West Region Juniors at Hampden. The clubs were in favour back then, but one member of that region’s committee made absolutely sure it didn’t happen (He refused to answer his phone or answer his emails!).

Couldn't he get a fire started?

Bit more advanced imo. They've progressed onto that new fangled morse code nonsense.
