A player who had an impressive disciplinary record before coming to Scotland, suddenly becomes a hothead, do you really believe that?

I've never seen a player get singled out in this manner before, with the media, players, fans and managers all gunning for him. Any player would react to getting booted constantly in every game with refs pretending not to notice. Not showing our wee country in the greatest light here..

Romeo's post which you quoted is referring to daily mail article which labelled him a "chimp". Romeo thinks it's funny, don't be like Romeo.

This is just wrong Bennett, sorry.

I’ve no idea what’s happened to him since his time in Helsinki but he is absolutely one of the dirtiest players I’ve ever seen live.

He is at it every single time he gets into a challenge with something ranging from snidey to outright aggressive. He is in the refs face after every decision. He can’t control his temper and lets his team down on a regular basis and at the worst times.

Media portrayal of him is potentially over the top sometimes but if we’re talking about the daily record etc then this is hardly unusual and certainly not unique to morelos.

He can be physical but this dirty player label seemed to appear out of nowhere and somehow stuck, his record previous to Scotland does not show this.  There's plenty of dirty players in our game tho...

If a player is going to be singled out in every game then they will respond, it's human nature. Is trying to get a reaction/player sent off really any different from a player diving for a penalty?

Refs need to start doing their jobs here, rather than allowing a talented young player to be booted out of our game.

Looks like the **** still can’t deal with a little bit of goading. Take yer defeat and get off the park ffs!

Ryan Kent punching Brown was hilarious as well. He got absolutely rattled because Brown rolled the ball away.

You're one to talk, Mr "Tierney's faking injury to avoid playing for Scotland".

Yes, players have been niggling away and sledging (to use a cricket term) opposition players for decades - the issue here is that most players understand it, and work out a way of dealing with it.

Kris Boyd, for example? Gets called a fat b*****d everywhere he goes, scores and does the "big belly" thing.

Morelos problem is that he seems to be too thick (or hasnt heeded the managers words) about being goaded.

If you are telling me that Stevie G didnt warn them about Brown tactics pre match, then I would call bullshit - Kent and Halliday also lost the plot round Brown - see the pattern?

Either an absolute horsing or a late, late injury time winning goal to be inflicted upon Rangers* please.

The sight of morosely despondent **** or hope-stripped despondent **** after either make equally delightful viewing.

Only downside being Celtic would win obviously.

There's Brown dirty and there's Morelos dirty. Brown gets away with it, because he's snide about how he goes about his business. He'll have wee niggly shoves and pulls and will wind players up with a whisper in their ear. But he knows exactly where the line is drawn and rarely crosses over it.

Morelos on the other hand whinges in the referees face at every opportunity, regardless of whether he has a valid point or not. He's at it constantly throughout the game. He draws attention to himself. He doesn't have the intelligence to deal with being wound up, or where to draw the line when he's constantly going on about it.

If a police officer see's somebody smoking weed on the street, he'll more than likely come over and confiscate it and brand a soft unwritten warning. If the person who drew the police officers attention to it then starts shouting abuse in the officers face about it, then he'll more than likely get cuffed and arrested for disorderly behaviour.

That's Morelos's problem on the pitch when it comes to referees. He may get wound up by opposition players, but he himself winds up the figure of authority and that's why he ultimately comes off worse. He hasn't got the smarts to know how to deal with these situations.

It’s not out of nowhere. My views on him are based on what I’ve seen of him live. He’s a horrible wee player. Much of it is to his benefit and if he could keep his discipline it might be an asset to him. But he’s totally unreliable.

Even Gerrard seems to have had enough.

To be fair it is possible that Stevie G didn't warn them about Brown tactics pre match.  Stevie G is a shit manager.
