Frankie S
Congratulations to Messrs Fitz-James, Booth, Malusa and Campbell Hewson on consistently excellent performances throughout the series. They may not have been favourites going in against either Durham (in the semi) or St Edmund Hall, but I have a feeling their BCR (bonus conversion rate) was the most efficient of any team in the series: In the final Edinburgh were 18/23 for 78.26% vs St Edmund’s 14/24 for 58.33% - in the semi they were 20/26 (76.92%) vs Durham’s 9/21 (42.86%). The ‘stars’ of the series may have been Leo and Golfinos, but Edinburgh had a better-balanced team, and that gave them a well-deserved edge. First time I’ve punched the air in celebration while watching a quiz show on TV. Brilliant! Edited April 23, 2019 by Frankie S
Florentine_Pogen
Thought they had Hibs'd it as would have been fitting for a team representing fair Edina, but some finish to leave Leo seething.Speaking of ‘ Hibsing it’, Robbie Campbell-Hewson who got the ‘54’ question at the end for Edinburgh, is a massive Hibby. His old man was captured in the audience wearing a Hibs sweatshirt and there is a thread running about him on .net.[emoji41][emoji7]
