Change thread title to "Inverness Caledonian Thistle vs Partick Thistle"

The thistle represents bravery, devotion, durability, strength and determination and the eyes of the world will be on Hampden to see these two clubs showcase these qualities for the right to be a total afterthought as Celtic complete the #TrebleTreble

I'll take the draw and the huge possibility of getting to another cup final but unless its the Dons I could see us being totally horsed. Dunno what it says about Scottish football when 2 awful Championship sides could be contesting the semi !!!

is this shit for real? hearts only having to play teams like third lanark to get to a final?

Yet somehow still making a total arse of it.

Check the run you had for your only trophy win in the last 23 years, m8, and for some of your recent finals. We have had years of largely stinking cup draws since we last won it in 2012. Even then, we had a tough draw until we got Hibs in the final.

We're also a dreadful side managed by a dinosaur, so if we do indeed luck our way to the final it'll be hilarious. We'd probably get turned over but there's always a chance.

Good to see you upset about the whole thing as well.

Imagine Aberdeen beat Sevco and Celtic and then lose the final to a rotten Jambo team on pens ala Gretna 2006. warnock.png Just demolish that new stadium already,

They'll be out on their ear at Ibrox next week and it'll become 30 years since their provincial rabble last won the big cup.

Whether it's Hearts, Inverness or Partick there will be a finalist that's only played top flight opposition once on the way to the final.

And that's not unusual

This was true of winners Celtic Last Season and of Both Celtic and Aberdeen the season before

The last team to win it after beating two top flight teams on the way to the final were Hibs (Although they played a championship team in the final)

And Falkirk reached the final before that without playing any top flight teams at all

There are only 4 rounds that premiership teams need to win to get to the final. I would say that if you had to play a premiership team more than twice you would be really unlucky.

Quite impressive that you've managed to keep up your nonsense despite Hearts embarrassing themselves the other night.  Is this a sign of maturity?

3 would be unlucky

Motherwell last season drew Hamilton, Dundee, Hearts, Aberdeen and Celtic

Which suggests that somebody connected to Motherwell smashed a mirror over a gypsy on Friday the 13th

That is about the size of it for us.

Even our easy draw this year was the team top of the Championship after a 3 week break.

That said when we do draw the likes of Albion Rovers a few years ago in the opening round - that ended well :-(

I don’t begrudge any non old firm team getting to a final on a relatively easy draw. But I sure as shit do when Celtic and Rangers continually draw 2nd division teams at home en route to the final.
