So what will be the league structure next season for the clubs in the EOS who did not make it in to the top league ?

There will probably be some official discussion on the 25th when the EoS has their meeting. They've got to accept/decline the membership applications then they'll know largely what they're working with numbers wise. It's basically a choice between regional or seeded conferences. I think seeded conferences should win a vote as otherwise you're basically splitting Edinburgh in half.

Using the current standings, assuming that 2 6th placed spots will be required for the EoS Premier and if I remember correctly how they seeded last time. You get Seeded Conferences looking like this:

For Regional Divisions you'd be looking at something like this. Again you can nitpick over the Edinburgh based clubs with this format

The EOS has lost many teams to the Lowland League over time., which fully explains that. However, the best of the original EOS teams are likely to dominate tier 7 next season.

Think it's very interesting that 6th + 7th in Conference A are Leith + Coldstream... 7th in Conference B is likely to be LTHV... 6th + 7th in Conference C are Preston + Heriot-Watt Uni.

In every conference there was a "big 4" no-one expected to falter, but when it came to finishing above Dunbar, Sauchie and Blackburn (and Crossgates who have surprised many) the old EOS sides fell just short. Just being the operative word... Leith + Coldstream (hampered by deduction) trail noticeably, but LTHV may finish 1pt adrift, Preston by GD, and HW by 2pts.

Regional is probably preferred by some, like in the East Juniors. But where there the north division will be much stronger, here the south division looks much tougher. Seeded seems more fair for next season.

Yes, this is true. It will at least set them up nicely to fight for promotion next season.

No real surprise that no previous EOS clubs make it in to the top league as everyone knew the standard was much poorer than the clubs who were previously in the East Region juniors.

Hats off to the clubs that moved as they spotted the opportunity to effectively takeover a failing league and jump a level to so called “senior level”

Leith Athletic will hopefully make it to the EoS Premier. Not quite the EoSFL 2017/18 vintage team that people would of expected to be there but a lot of people had 11 East Super League and 8 East Premier League teams as stick ons for the top spots in their Conferences. With Easthouses and Craigroyston being used as a comparison to how well the EoS 2017/18 clubs would fare against ex-Junior opposition they've certainly done decently.

Hats off to Coldstream and Easthouses, they’ve both had great seasons. ‘Stream have come a long way since they were asking me to play for them! :thumsup2

My only hope (and it’s a long shot) is that Dalkeith pull off a miracle and get up too, think everyone will agree they deserve it for having the biggest balls last season

Think Crossgates Primose are who really stand out on that way of showing things. Not that long since they were in abeyance for a season. Technically they are not 100% sure in mathematical certainty terms of being in the EoS Premier yet, but almost inconceivable that they won't be.

Surely Arniston would be south and one of Craigroyston/Tynecastle would be north...

So basically it’s the eos junior premier division , a waste of a year and playing shite just to get back to virtually the same league.
The leagues below looks absolutely horrific who the hell would want to join that .

Conferences probably on par with the new South "Super" that Thornton will have to suffer. Enjoy your 9 team league

The EoS was failing in 2016-17 with 11 clubs, which was the perfect time for a merger. But the SJFA weren't interested in the pyramid so that's why the EoS is no longer failing...

Yep that's basically it, a shame it had to come to that but there was only one way to join the pyramid and clubs were happy to put up with a waste of a year.

If you want to have a chance of playing Glenrothes again or getting to tier 6 then you should join those horrific leagues.

Still big derbies against Kennoway and maybe Lochore to look forward to.
