FairWeatherFan
To be sure I double checked how the EoS did the seedings last summer: So since they simply alternated rather than did a snake draft the current stadings for the Tier 7 teams would be: Bold are guaranteed that spot in the standings, Italics are for those who could still move
lowenan
Sauchie will almost certainly play in the EOS Premier next season.

All that happens when you take out Sauchie is the Conferences change names. Take out two 6th place sides the Conferences stay the same name.

FairWeatherFan
Following tomorrow's games all the standings will be set. This year's Conference A and B will complete all their fixtures, while Conference C will have one outstanding fixture that won't effect the standings. We've also seen Glenrothes confirmed as a successful applicant for the 2019-20 season. Which means there no more worrying over whether we would ger a Glenrothes derby.

stanley
I remember people trolling on here by saying the EoS would accept any club. Clearly not true.

Both had issues with their chosen grounds apparently. Hopefully they can sort them in the next year and try again.
Burnie_man
Another cracking season in store, an exceptionally strong Premier League and two very competitve (12 team?) Conferences where any number of clubs could top them. I wonder how promotion/relegation will be done and what set-up the board will plan for, for 2020-2021. Two Conference winners plus maybe best third? play-off with third bottom? any number of ways they could do it. Hopefully a First Division is the plan the following season with the top 5 or 6 in each Conference guaranteed a place and therefore keeping each Conference interesting right to the end.

Hopefully a First Division is the plan the following season with the top 5 or 6 in each Conference guaranteed a place and therefore keeping each Conference interesting right to the end. If they only have to use one 6th placed side to form the EoS Premier it'll work out as 12 teams in each Conference. Otherwise there will be uneven numbers between the two. Bit like this year i'd have Top 6 in each First Division Conference to form the proper 2020-21 EoS First Division. That guarantees 12 with the possibilty of 13 depending on how promotion and relegations goes higher up. Then the possibility that 7th placed sides could be used to make up the EoS First Division depending on applications and the like. It's annoying but hopefully there will be more applicants next year to bump up the Second Division level. I'd also have an overall First Division Championship play-off between the two Conference winners and possibly the two conference runners up play-off for a third promotion place.

lowenan
Cove have taken the lead against East Kilbride, 1-0 today, and 3-1 overall. I guess Leith will be hoping for Berwick Rangers in the League Two playoffs.
LongTimeLurker
Cove player just sent off apparently. Edit, so much for that being a factor: Edited May 4, 2019 by LongTimeLurker
FairWeatherFan
Bonnyrigg Rose are the 2018-19 EoS Champions after winning the round robin play-off amongst the Conference champions. Currently unlicensed, we don't know if they will be eligible for promotion to the Lowland League. Elsehwere, Cove Rangers vs. Berwick Rangers will contest the SPFL Play-off. Most likely scenarios Cove Rangers win, then Sauchie Juniors will get a spot in the EoS Premier. Berwick Rangers win and both Sauchie and Leith Athletic will be in the EoS Premier. Lowland League Relegation candidate: Whitehill Welfare EoS Premier Division: Blackburn United Bo'ness United Bonnyrigg Rose (EoS Champion) Broxburn Athletic Camelon Juniors Crossgates Primrose Dunbar United Dundonald Bluebell Hill of Beath Hawthorn Jeanfield Swifts Linlithgow Rose Musselburgh Athletic Newtongrange Star Penicuik Athletic Tranent Juniors Best 6th Place 1st: Sauchie Juniors 2nd: Leith Athletic 3rd: Preston Athletic
FairWeatherFan
Hopefully Cove win the SPFL Play-off and Bonnyrigg get their SFA license to get promoted to the Lowland League. Could end up with something like this depending on how they choose the seeding of the Conferences and plenty of room for any supposed late applications.
lowenan
Will be interesting now to see if WW can still get relegated, or if they just keep their place. Today Berwick Rangers took one of the spots in the LL next season, and Leith have had to settle for tier 7.
LongTimeLurker
They can be if the rule on league numbers and pro/rel is interpreted to mean that Selkirk's place has to be filled by application as appears to be strongly implied. Under that scenario they would have been asked to put in an application which will be considered on its merits against the others that have been received. They will no doubt keep their place however probably with no explanation of the exact mechanics of how the LL Board arrived at their decision because the LL membership have already made it clear they want it that way. The rules will no doubt be redrafted at the LL AGM so that in future 15th would be safe in most scenarios when a club is expelled or resigns midseason and the vacancy would simply be filled by the EoS/SoS champions.
