HibeeJibee 7,824 Report post Posted April 27 (edited) 1 Penicuik P1 3pts +1 F3 2 Bonnyrigg P0 0pts 0 F0 3 Broxburn P1 0pts -1 F2 (2 away goals) Dramatic day. Penicuik can win the EOS League 2018-19 by beating Bonnyrigg on Wednesday night / or by drawing and winning the bonus point penalty shoot-out... Bonnyrigg accordingly needs to at least avoid defeat, including avoiding a draw but then losing the penalty shoot-out... Broxburn must simply hope Bonnyrigg wins: that would leave it open for them to beat Bonnyrigg next Saturday and try to prevail on GD/etc. Edited April 27 by HibeeJibee

I had done a count of the three sides other than the dressing room side and got to 260, and thought that there would be over 200 still to be counted, particularly including the kids for the HT kick about.

Blowin In the Wind 110 Report post Posted April 27 Didn’t make it today and disappointed at the result. Can’t comment on the goals but the Broxburn keeper has been outstanding this year and is one of the main reasons we got here. Must now hope Bonnyrigg beat Penicuik by a goal and we can beat Bonnyrigg by two. Anything is possible.
HibeeJibee 7,824 Report post Posted April 27 Penicuik and Bonnyrigg have advanced Wednesday's kickoff to 6:45pm. Sensible move, e.g. in case of bad injuries... or if Penicuik have celebrating to do...

It already had a kickoff suitable for playing by natural light, but now it'll be finished 30mins earlier than necessary (or a delay of upto 30mins can occur).

Could the reason be cause Liverpool are playing Barcelona in the Champions League, and fans get the best of both Worlds? C’mon The Rose

I'm sure prettymuch anyone's interest in CL SF pales into insignificance versus Match #2 of EOS League Title Round Robin ! Worth noting the scenario mentioned before - where an absolute dead heat occurs then Bonnyrigg win on the basis of their conference record - can now only happen by it finishing Bonnyrigg 3-2 Penicuik and Broxburn 3-2 Bonnyrigg.

And if were to happen which is very unlikely it’s a nonsense how can it be right when playing in different leagues

HibeeJibee 7,824 Report post Posted April 28 If you've 3 teams tied on Points, GD, GF, Head-to-Head, Away Goals, and Away Goals in H2H... how else can you separate them... short of playing it all over again (and it not happening again?).

Gimme 281 Report post Posted April 28 Maybe the teams that has all the pieces in place for the license What's a license got to do with it?The play off would take place whether the teams involved had applied for licences or not as its to find an overall league champion with the winner getting a place in next year's Scottish Cup.

Gimme 281 Report post Posted April 28 And promoted to the Lowland League which is the whole point So if Bo'ness had won Conference B would you have expected them to step aside and give up a potential Scottish Cup place because they hadn't applied for their licence?
Burnie_man 5,406 Report post Posted April 28 And promoted to the Lowland League which is the whole point You don't need a licence to play in the EoS, therefore you dont need a licence to become Champion (and enter the Scottish Cup).
