Steve McQueen
Think Zander Clark might have saved both goals, both good hits but a taller keeper would have saved them. Jason Kerr dealt with Cosgrove fairly easily.

PauloPerth
Dreadful quality game from both sides, but Aberdeen looked far more dangerous in attack and deserved their win. Wotherspoon and Foster's laurel and hardy routine was funny for a while, but thought to keep it going for most of the match was a bit of overkill. Foster was brutal, one of those games, but Wotherspoon contributed zero. Players on the bench must sit wondering what's the fucking point when he stays on the park for 71 minutes playing like that. Liam Craig was also murder. Playing excellent centre midfield upto the break but shuffling things around hasn't helped him. When we went 2 up front he should have been hooked. Careless touch by Kennedy for the first goal, and again by Swanson for the second. Swanson had given the ball away each time he'd had it beforehand the goal, so Aberdeen should have been expecting it. Wee Danny looks very unfit and a shadow of his former self. Thought Murray Davidson was immense today, if the rest of the team gave a f**k like he did it might have been a different story. Kerr got better as the game went on and was excellent, thought Tanser also had a mostly good game. Kane back to his usual running and falling over and offering very little goal threat. Greg Stewart is very tidy on the ball and Maclennan(? No 27) looked good as well. We look a disjointed rabble at times, and too many players below par. Not sure what the answer is, and sadly neither does Tommy Wright.

We went 4-4-2 in the first half with Kennedy pushed up alongside Kane. Radford
I actually thought it was a decent game. Played at a pace which maybe didn't allow for an excess of quality but decent to watch live. It doesn't matter that it was early on but when a team start as well as Saints did, you need to get the goal to reward it. We never really regained that early rhythm. As highlighted, both goals came from losing possession to Dom Ball, I thought he had a strong game for Aberdeen. The second goal just about summed up Swanson since his return, he's verging on being a bit of a disaster. The first is poor too as Goss is turned so, so easily and ends up on the deck. To end on a positive though, Jason Kerr was very good again. Whoever described him as "Rolls Royce" has it nailed. All that's missing from his game is another yard of pace. If he had that then the sky would be the limit. A defeat to Aberdeen isn't a disaster and the last two weeks have been back more towards the level we should be looking for in terms of performance. DrewDon
Right foot goal, left foot goal, booking. The Graeme Shinnie perfect hat-trick.
Rodhull
Happy with that. Game was scrappy for the most part but got more open and stretched as it went on. Thought we were pretty comfortable for the most part. Shinnie's tackle when the boy was straight through was probably as crucial as his goals. I never noticed any real difference with Kane and Kennedy tbh.
Jacksgranda
I'd probably have settled for 4 points from the games against the two Saints, so happy enough.

He's been booked. 24' Foul by Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen) 56' Foul by Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen). 67' Foul by Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen). 67' Booking Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen) is shown the yellow card for a bad foul. From the BBC site so could be pish since they reckoned we had 32 shots on target. More importantly. 16' Goal! Goal! St. Johnstone 0, Aberdeen 1. RandomGuy.
I forgot Aberdeen fans were like this when they won games, makes the hammerings we give them at Pittodrie all the sweeter, I suppose.

big al
Aberdeen did well to keep a clean sheet with so many changes at the back. St Johnstone’s lack of quality in attacking areas also a factor in this. Shinnie was terrific obviously, and really has to stay. It’s unlikely he would be replaced with someone as effective. 15 for St Johnstone should be escorted straight out the stand and onto the Aberdeen team bus up the road. Don’t let him off til he’s signed for next season on a 5 year deal. Dissapointed Greg was taken off at 2 nil.Could see he was going to go through the repertoire with the pressure off and run the Saints ragged. Even more dissapointed it was May who came on, a waste of a jersey AKA an attacker with no ability. Enjoyed the game, good backing for the Dons.
