WhoAmI
Goals aplenty but two poor teams and an exceptionally poor performance from referee Gavin Ross for both teams I may add, who obviously has not played football before in his life. Foreign refs for league one please from anywhere even The Galápagos Islands, Burkina Faso, Christmas Islands, anywhere but Glasgow or Lanarkshire. Its not only a game
Credit where it's due. Dumbarton exposed our weaknesses (far too slow and panicky under pressure) and got their deserved win in the end even without playing well. Their front 2 caused all sorts of problems for our defence and that was all they had to do; lump the ball in the final 3rd and they'll create dangerous chances. I've never been so digusted from a first half display from an East Fife side in my years of supporting them. Not a single player got pass marks from me. Second half was much improved but the game was finito once their 4th went in. Sorry to single players out when no-one had a good game but Kane, Docherty, Slattery were absolutely woeful today and should be dropped. Glad Kane won't be in EF kit any time soon for his stupid kick on their player...you could make the case that it's a yellow but he gave the referee every reason to send him off. Today shows how much we miss Dunlop and Agnew in the line up. 3 defeats in a row now...and with Smokies on Tuesday night it could very well be 4. So disappointed today. The first 45 minutes were as bad as we have played- since we last played Dumbarton! Everyone played below their best. Thought the linesman in the second half was poor- don’t see the point of him being there didn’t give the ref any support!Have to say though some great goals by Dumbarton...and well played
King Kebab
Three game changing moments decided this game, the first one was the foul we should have had in the build up to Dumbarton's 2nd goal, the second one was King Kev's little dink hitting the bar when it was 2-3, if that had gone in I have no doubt that we would have went on to win that game and the third was Kano's sending off, it was a stupid move and basically cost us any chance of even salvaging a point and to make it worse he didn't even hurt him, if you're prepared to get sent off for nailing somebody at least do it right!!!But tbh if he had done it to Barr he would probably have been carried off the park shoulder high, what a detestable little cumstain that wee shitehawk is!!! fifer67
If ever there was a reality check that was it today. East Fife started the game playing some nic3 passing slick football. Que Dumbartons first shot on goal and the game turns on its head. East Fife began to make errors and mistakes all over the park and after another couple of very well taken goals we could have been excused for heading to the car. But one thing about this East Fife team they don’t lie down easily. It was the turn of Dumbarton to creak and make mistakes and suddenly it was 3 2 then we hit the bar. Then another mistake at the back by Docherty gave Dumbarton another gift. When we scored again it was game on. We were leaving big gaps at the back as we pushed on but Dumbarton couldn’t capitalise on a couple of great chances. The red card took the steam out our charge, I personally thought the ref made some incredibly poor decisions a soft red. Then East Fife’s penalty claim when it looked like the Dumbarton keeper flattened Dowds. Everyone thought he awarded the penalty but it was a by kick he was pointing for. Decent entertainment based on some laughable errors .

Mon_The_Fife
Jim Duffy last seen putting Darren Young into his back pocket.Dumbarton very much our bogey team. Going by the highlights over the season Dom Thomas is a cracking player and certainly a key player for Dumbarton. As for us, without Dunlop and Watson that defence is missing 2 big players. Disappointed in Kane, who hasn’t played for a while and has an opportunity to get back into the team to then get himself suspended. We have a heck of a lot of games coming up and now he will miss the next 3.Overall, not too much damage done with Airdrie and Montrose also losing. Arbroath midweek is a free hit but we must take points from Brechin and Stenny.

sneed hearn
Easy to blameChris Kane who hadn’t played for weeks and was miles off the pace. However the whole team’s attitude seemed to be off.Showedsome fight and pride the second half and might have sneaked a draw though could easily lost more goals on the break.Kane had a shocker but the abuse directed at him after the ordering off was not pleasant to hear. O'Kelly Isley III
That is a result of the most utter tremendousness, and Dom Thomas is turning out to be the most significant signing since Mike Goodwin.

Gordon EF
Bobby Barr nicked us off the Stark's Park mantle piece and took us to Dumbarton last summer didn't he?

Its not only a game
It was young Currie who got flattened by the keeper thought it was a stonewall penalty but hey ho.Yes . Standing back we scored 3 times at home- if you do that then you should win!As said before we played well below par. Even at that we could of got a draw. But some great goals by Dumbarton. Our defence will be stronger with Watson and Dunlop back . Worry most about midfield. We were so slow there today- defensively not good and poor quality balls to the forwards.Lots of Dowds runs down the channel not being picked up or unable to make the pass.Long few weeks ahead- hopefully we will get a bit of luck with the officials- nit had much lately....
