The VoL entry on the club's website was posted in October, expressing concerns about the council's apparent lack of progress. It also 'announced' the impending November meeting, which was to galvanise actions aimed at pushing things forward more quickly. . Then i'm not entirely sure what site you were on. There club website only has one entry for October and that is a place holder giving the details of the 2nd November game against CSS. Then if you went on their facebook group you would of seen their planning permission announcement as one of the first results. And twitter would of been months of scores and other updates to go through.

Of the existing SFA member clubs, a lack of club information suggests that only Girvan could lose their membership.

Ray Patterson
Really think this is a missed opportunity here. Local SPFL sides should be having friendlies at these grounds against the likes of St Andrews (United), Whitehill (Hearts) and Camelon (Falkirk) in order to help financially with their application.

Hearts have already played at Whitehill for that very purpose. It's easier said than done.

I think that Bo'ness, Dalkeith, Dunipace, Dunbar, and Newtowngrange now have floodlighfs. Not sure if they all meet the SFA licensing standard though. Haddington, Musselburgh, and Tranent have been awarded a funding grant for lights, by East Lothian Council. St Andrews posted a pre-Christmas floodlight funding appeal last month. Also Edinburgh Utd current fundraising appeal. No idea about Camelon. Anyone got an update ? Guest
Dunipace have lights and we have done everything else in our power to meet the requirements both on and off the park. I guess we will see the outcome in the coming period. Fingers crossed, would be massive for the club.3 years ago we finished 2nd bottom of the old West juniors and at the end if this season we may end up being licensed by the sfa..... It's a funny old game sometimes. The move to the eos has been excellent for the club. (as well as the very hard working committee to be fair)

Sauchie as far as i'm aware haven't got their licensing application in. These clubs were all publicly acknowledged by the EoS last year. Exceptions being Dunipace (since noted as in the process & recently due for their audit), Bo'ness about to be audited and Dunbar had their statement about applying.

Guest
It has been a really good couple of years, tough on the park some days, but off the park the club has taken leaps forward. The committee have done really well and deserve a lot if credit for their forward thinking and hard work.Feel free to come to a game, everyone is welcome, we don't care who you usually watch, so long as you like football. The more people that come along and watch the better [emoji4]

Friends in high places Feck knows mate I'm just passing on the latest info. Be a bit pointless installing floodlights and no getting a licence in time so imagine there must be some assurance in there to produce a statement like that.

Footballfirst
...... and yet more lights. Haddington Athletic @HaddAth28m Millfield floodlights update We'd a delegation from the SFA's Licensing dept inspect our home ground on Friday - pleased to report all went well. Vital the new floodlights are operational by 25 February, a target reckoned achievable. The reference to the vital nature of the date would suggest that clubs need to have their lights operational be the end of February for licensing purposes, at least for new applicants.

Think that might be to do with the SFA board only handing out licences once a year? Edit: bit extra on their fb page, presumably there's an SFA board meeting on the 26th to approve licences (for Bo'ness, Tranent, Camelon as well?) "We'd a visit on Friday past from a delegation from the SFA's Licensing people, headed by department head Brian Mann. Pleased to advise their inspection/audit went very well - there are a couple of signage issues now being addressed, but otherwise we should be well-placed for acceptance into SFA associate membership in due course as long as we have our floodlights operational by Tuesday 25 February, ahead of important Hampden business the following day. The target's reckoned achievable by our main sponsors JBEMS, the electrical contractors who've been carrying out the necessary preparation work over recent weeks - they were represented at Friday's meeting and are confident things will develop as required over the course of February. If all goes to plan this Saturday's match against Dalkeith Thistle should be the last played at Millfield without functioning floodlights."
