Club Licencing

Also down to one or two clubs only being confirmed as Licence holders this week, and members at next weeks AGM.

Given the SFA are trying to downgrade new members to Associate members, I wouldnt rule out further changes.

None of the membership changes could affect them being able to participate in the Scottish Cup in the future , right?

Who knows. If this passes then newly licensed clubs below tier 5 wont have a say

Slight adjustment - proposal applies from this point forward I believe.

The dates have already been released as they're factored into the Highland League fixtures, the 1st round is on 21st September.

Ok, think that's the same as last time. Just need to wait until the AGM to see if there's going to be preliminary rounds, and what the last 16/QF/SF dates are.

It's the SFA AGM today, so it could also be a seminal day for Bonnyrigg.  The previously announced six successful licence applicants should have their membership formally approved.

What the nature of that membership will be, full or associate, remains to be seen.

Oh and there is also the promotion of Rod Petrie, further beyond his level of incompetence, when he  takes over from Alan McRae as el presidente.

I assume Petrie hasnt got a challenger for the job then? Who inherits Petries role as vp (assuming it'll be uncontested)

There's no challenger to Petrie. Given the almost hereditary nature of the VP role, then whoever is appointed will become president in four year time, unless the governance model is changed before then.

Cronyism, jobs for the boys, blazers - SFA not fit for purpose.

The Edinburgh Evening New has reported that Petrie's successor as Vice President will be Alloa's chairman, Mike Mulraney, who will also be elected unopposed.

At least one of the six has their full membership certificate dated from today.

News seems slow today. Anyone know when we are likely to hear?

Only thing I've seen is confirmation of RP & MM

Rod Petrie has been confirmed as the new president of @ScottishFA . Alloa chairman Mike Mulraney has been appointed vice-president.

If the sfa r changing the goalposts on voting rights and licensing when granted is not for the forth coming season is an absolute joke. Time the EOS had a meeting with budge and Dempster to see what they can do seem to be only people with sense in that building.

Presumably the six clubs + Bonnyrigg and Dundonald, all know their fate in terms of being full SFA members by now, or are they waiting for an email?

Eventually found the club referred to on the previous page

Penicuik are holding their AGM at the moment so they may release something later tonight.

Edit: Easthouses have confirmed they are full members.
