THREE goals in SEVEN appearances for Jermain Defoe so far. And TWO of them were from OPEN PLAY. You can't argue with those stats.

Much is he getting again?

Some quick numbers here

Jermain Defoe has three goals in 476 minutes of play, or one goal in 154 minutes.  By comparison, Timo Weah (a player most Sevco fans thought would be a much worse signing than Defoe) has 3 in 286 minutes or 1 goal per 95 minutes,

We should have brought on the U17s at half time to show the big team how to play football.  Davis, Defoe and Lafferty are superannuated has-beens.  The only upside?  Kamara looks a good signing.
Hard lines to the fermers.  Much better organised and determined than us.
We got away with a draw today.
All that money being spunked away. It's beautiful.

The Rangers?  Squandering money since November 1988.

The b*****ding thing is that we're depending on Killy tomorrow for us to have any semblance of a title challenge.

Much more like it from Saints today but to produce it off the back of a pretty shit few weeks shows the character of this squad. Whenever you doubt them, they show you up for it.

The point was the least we deserved and there's no doubt the two best saves were from Foderingham, who could only watch on as Alston hit the underside of the bar.

Nine or ten really strong individual performances as well. Full backs more like what you'd expect from them, Shaughnessy a real leader and actually the better of the centre backs. Craig got on the ball and used it well, Davidson through himself into battle and what a shift from Kane up front. The comments about a lack quality at times are fair but when he plays like that, he causes defenders problems. Kennedy and Wotherspoon supported him well and did their duties back the way. Was impressed by Bell's kicking and other than one fumble, he was solid but hardly tested.

Big point that hopefully allows the team to move on from the last few weeks.

Even if we win tomorrow you won't win the league. Simply put, you team isn't good enough.

Indeed.  Better to maintain the idea for longer, though?

The fermers have learned from playing so open against the invincibles and shut up shop today (just our luck). We could have played for another ninety and wouldn't have scored, while StJ were unlucky not to score.

The referee looked absolutely terrified everytime he had to make a decision.

No wonder our GnG friends were so keen on getting Alfredo the great banned, we're utterly toothless without him upfront.

Anyone know why Arfy and Jack were missing today?
