Audaces Fortuna Juvat 2,672 Report post Posted February 10 Was thinking of using my cheap railcard to visit Cove Rangers new ground. Train to Aberdeen is easy enough, but what is the best way to get to the Balmoral Stadium from there, outside using Aberdeen's extortionately priced taxis?

Looked into it before, about an hour's walk or the number 3 bus from the centre and get off at Altens Farm Road and a short walk. Locals might have better advice. Booked up to go but Clach's game was postponed because Cove had a cup game on. Edited February 10 by welshbairn

The Mantis 2,070 Report post Posted February 10 No 3 bus for sure, about 5 every hour. Make sure you go round ikea on the right side, not the left, if you’re not following anybody with a scarf on

I'm using it for Huntly away in a couple of weeks. Stopping the night too, very excited.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat 2,672 Report post Posted February 11 I used it for Huntly last time around. Great wee club - very friendly.
Cyclizine 804 Report post Posted February 12 Get off the 3 bus just before the big roundabout where the Shell garage is, walk around (or through) the garage forecourt and follow the road around to the right past the Royal Mail centre. There should be folk to follow and there's some signs. 3 bus us handy as you can drink in town and then head out. There's a bus stop just outside the Grill...
Muzza81 1,284 Report post Posted February 12 It’s a total nothing of a ground with very little around it - apart from a new school. As said the number 3 bus will take you quite close, you’ll also go right past Bank O’ Dee’s ground on that route. Huntly is a proper wee ground and plenty pubs around the town.
resk 855 Report post Posted February 22 Inverurie Locos is an easy one to bag if you're using the train. Decent wee ground and plenty of options for a pint too.
