Anybody know why the Hamilton fans were singing "f**k the SFA" in the second half?

I would have thought they should be praising the SFA for allowing them to compete with all that laundered money?

Thought we did ok in 2nd half but game was lost courtesy of Alan Muir giving another shocking decision against us and a goalkeeping mistake.

The 'barge' from Sowah on Gray was absolutely brutal  - there should have been a red card for it really because he challenged for the ball  and.....bumped into the Hibs captain, for goodness sake, at Easter Road !!!!   Who does he think he is, an opposition player or something?? Gray was lucky he didn't suffer some form of really, really bad injury and if the worst had happened             - which it really could have due to the excessive force put into the 'bump' - death.

Hibs deserved their win - well done champs - but getting penalties for being bumped into certainly helps !

It was clearly a foul. Sowah was guilty of giving away two similar fouls on Gray outside the box later in the match as well. Maybe concentrate on the fact you’ve got an absolutely dreadful left back opposed to getting all upset about the officials making correct decisions.

FIFA Laws of the game. I emphasised the parts most likely to be helpful to your understanding of the game of association football.

--

LAW 12 – FOULS AND MISCONDUCT

Fouls and misconduct are penalised as follows:

Direct free kick

A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any
of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be
careless, reckless or using excessive force:
• kicks or attempts to kick an opponent
• trips or attempts to trip an opponent
• jumps at an opponent
• charges an opponent
• strikes or attempts to strike an opponent
• pushes an opponent
• tackles an opponent

A direct free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any
of the following three offences:
• holds an opponent
• spits at an opponent
• handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own
penalty area)

A direct free kick is taken from the place where the offence occurred
(see Law 13 – Position of free kick).

Penalty kick
A penalty kick is awarded if any of the above ten offences is committed by
a player inside his own penalty area
, irrespective of the position of the ball,
provided it is in play.

...

Careless, reckless, using excessive force

“Careless” means that the player has shown a lack of attention or
consideration when making a challenge or that he acted without precaution.

• No further disciplinary sanction is needed if a foul is judged to be careless

--

You'll notice that there I didn't include the rule whereby a penalty kick will not be awarded if an offence inside the box is merely careless, rather than reckless, or using excessive force. This is because there is no such rule.

At any point during this shambles of a post did you reconsider for a moment?

they were both looking at the ball and they both went for the ball and they collided - 50/50 though Gray made some meal of it

Gray was about 2 feet higher than Sowah, had already headed the ball when the collision happened.

If Sowah had his eye on the ball, he wasnt exactly making any attempt to play it - he was barely off the ground when he hit Gray, and hence gave the ref a very very easy decision to make.

I understand why you might think it wasnt a penalty.........but I am equally 100% sure you would have wanted it if it happened in our box.
