Paco Posted February 20, 2019 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Maybe it existed but I don’t remember anyone getting upset at Hearts/Hibs/Rangers/Dundee Utd fans expecting to beat us every time we played. For some reason at this level even anticipating a victory is arrogance and is a consequence of being fooool time. Raith Rovers are a much bigger club than anyone else in this league, and should expect to win every single game. Obviously, football doesn’t work like that and currently we are genuinely terrible. Arbroath, East Fife and Montrose have all come to Stark’s Park and been the better team - EF twice. And I can’t even face naming the sides who’ve been better than us when we’ve went away from home - we could probably say Stenny haven’t been, and leave it at that. It definitely does deserve a lot of mocking, it’s full on Raith Rovers Banter Years at the moment. We’re not just failing but we’re doing it in hilarious fashion. But I don’t think Raith fans thinking we’re better than this league is at all controversial. We’ll get back to our level again, eventually...
