Pie in the sky stuff from a few guys on here, no chance we will get Ryan or Goodwillie. We are not an attractive proposition right now, I'd even wager that the boy Henderson would be well out of our reach.

Yeah I knew he did have the extension but maybe the Hybrid changes could mean the Board will revisit some of the decisions made under Findlay's advice. If he does stay it will be in the reserves along with the boys so he can bring them on! That set up in the first half was gash because it has to accommodate him.

If we sign Goodwillie I won't be back. There's plenty of good strikers out there that would do us a turn. Some things are more important than football.

I take it you boycotted when Lithgow played?

I think that is the opinion of the player aswell  ,it's only football .personally if he puts the ball in the net for Airdrie that will do me on a sat ,sign him now ,

Anyone have any ideas on the sort of team that will be played on saturday? Both teams have nothing to play for so it would be good to see some of the youngsters getting a shot in the first team to potentially fight for a place for next season.

Probably a full strength team. Club will get slightly more money for finishing 6th rather than 8th

I know people have their reservations. I personally felt this is the model Wotherspoon should have went for. We shouldn't have limited our options going completely full time and ruling out part-timers. Even our Cup Final teams in the 90's had part-time players. Obviously, it now all comes down to recruitment but I believe a mix of part and full-timers is the best option for a club our size.

I can think of 2 off the top of my head, Balfour and Hay. Any others?

And totally agree about the Wotherspoon experiment, as is discussed by Stuart Millar in that article, to just discard the likes of Parry who didn't want to go full time was absolute nonsense.

During a quiet afternoon at work, I’ve had a trawl through all the signing announcements posted on the website over the last year or so and the players that have been confirmed as signed on for next season are:

1. Scott Robertson

2. Joao Victoria

3. Dale Carrick

4. Ryan Conroy

5. Kieran MacDonald

6. Scott Stewart

7. Dean Cairns

8. Josh Edwards

9. Cammy Russell

In the article posted above, Stuart Millar states that there are 12 players signed up for next season. This means that three of following players must also be signed up (the rest were expressly announced on one year deals):

Jonathan Page

Sean Crighton

Chris O’Neil

Darryl Duffy

I suspect Page, Crighton & Duffy will be the three signed.

Assuming the above is all correct, I would hope as a minimum we’d be able to get rid of Conroy, Page & Duffy. I wouldn’t be fussed if any of Robertson, Carrick, MacDonald, Stewart, Cairns or Russell left.

Diamond Oracle Not sure if it's accurate, but I read elsewhere that Crighton and Page from your list are signed for another year. The 12th might then be Scott Thomson who signed an extension before he went out on loan ( https://www.airdriefc.com/scottthomson-120119).

Crighton is on a one year deal page is on a two year deal

Scott Thomson is signed, but I’m not sure if he’d be included in the 12. He signed a deal at the same time at Robbie Leighton, Grant Brennan, Lewis Gracie, Craig Truesdale and Scott Thomson at the start of last season for the reserve team.
