Can't argue with his goal stats in this league but he is like every other player, he needs competition for his place. I think the post that announced McCabe as manager and Fordyce as his assistant implied that Fordyce would remain club captain. I know they were a bit older at the time but Owen Coyle and Yogi Hughes did extremely well as a player/management duo whilst still playing majority of the games too. The good thing is that we will have a bit of continuity going on the club next season as you have 2 of your best players staying on, which will have encouraged the likes of Gallagher to stay on etc. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
