Said to the press he wasn’t interested and then we ended up signing him days later. I don’t know if it makes much of a difference at our level but it still must be annoying if stuff gets leaked to the press or online. He had a very normal one on the Queen’s Park thread after our game against them a few weeks ago. He’s taken your criticism well! I think Agnew has suffered the most from us not really having a proper ball winning midfielder. Whenever I saw him play previously I never had the impression that was his game. That doesn’t mean he can or should get away with not mucking in but given that’s never been his forte, and his age, I’m not really sure he should be expected to do that either. Get him and Easton further up the park and linking with the forwards and there’s more than enough talent there to be scoring and creating goals. Do not know what age you are but I am 51 and could beat Agnew in a race and run further than he can. He should be nowhere near the starting 11, legs are gone, looks like he is knackered after the warm ups. Play McCabe sitting and 3 ahead of him with legs and guile, then 2 strikers to get on the end of chances. We need to win tomorrow or the game next week against Falkirk is do or die.

airdrieman
He’s either ditched the 3-5-2 already or he’s playing Gabby McGill at centre-half. Love and hate that it could quite feasibly be either of those scenarios.

Jack Reed
Decisions certainly didn't favour us, we're doing well until sending off. Early days.
ShineOnYouCrazyDiamonds
Couldn't believe when Murray subbed off Gal when McGill was clearly limping and struggling to keep up. We dominated when it was 11v11 and I thought McGill was superb so the result is really disappointing.

I thought Murray taking off Easton was a strange one. Given that the one thing you want to do when you go down to 10 men is keep the ball it’s odd he took off our player who’s the best at doing that and our most creative player to boot. Why not take off Frizzell or a forward instead? I liked him at Dumbarton but Wardrop has been a liability for us so far. Got done for the penalty against Annan, most of Motherwell’s few chances came down his side, got rinsed by a man old enough to be his da at Palmerston and he’s got himself sent off today. Not good enough. Much better performance up until the sending off by the sounds of things. Hopefully we can keep that sort of standard up and not lose the heads when something goes against us.

Hard to fault Murray today up to the subs given how well we played before the sending off but the subs didn’t help at all. Gallagher wasn’t really involved in the game but McGill was clearly done, a straight McGill for McGill swap to shore things up on the right hand side seemed the obvious option. Big game next week now, as although it’s early days no wins from our first three games would be very poor.
