Scottish Junior Cup Final Venue?

don't like rugby park for a junior cup final as it to big and the venue should be somewhere roughly halfway between the 2 clubs  for example broadwood if it was an Auchinleck vs lochee united final as it about half way and an 8000 capacity should be ideal for the junior cup final

Please play it on a grass park and not one of they shitty carpets

Pretty much all of your suitable grass parks will be being prepared for the next season by June. The final needs to be at least month earlier for this.

If Rugby Park is shut, and assuming it will be a West final then Hamilton or Clyde seem possibilities. Lochee Utd getting to the final would open up other options. Raith hosted the Thornton replay v Renfrew for example. But being close to one support is always the preference it seems.

St Mirren would be ideal though the problem being maintenance being carried out on pitches as soon as the SPL is finished

ST Mirrens park IMO is perfect for the cup final, great surface, great set up walking distance from stations etc... but.

Broadwoods pitch is getting ripped up and replaced in the summer with a new astro pitch

Is the fact the Scottish is played earlier this year not now open up the possibility of other grounds. The problem has always been the end of championship season is early May to fit in play offs. So ground recovery has started Therefore come the end of May weekend only the Premiership grounds are available, leaving pretty much an option of 1.

I haven't seen the point the last few years of a 6 or 7 week gap between the semis and the final. Second leg of the semis are on 7th April this year, surely the final can be played in early or mid May rather than wait until only a handful of venues are available?
