Is there a reason you've kept a picture of a sheep for over 7 years?

To be fair that's some expression on the sheep's face.

Looks like he's thinking 'did yeh aye'

Wild that someone could think he saved that pic when the article was first published and didn't just search "falkirk sheep" into Google.

That’s exactly what I typed into google :thumsup2

Did you claim for the penalty when 10 dived in the first half? Did you claim for the freekick for your second goal?

The first obviously wasn't a foul and after watching the highlights I'm still not convinced the Falkirk boy didn't jump into our player as he'd lost the ball.

My point is, you seem to be putting the blame on referees when the players are the problem. They go down far too easily, the fans and players go apeshit wanting the foul, if the ref doesn't award it he's then slated for not giving anything.

I don't disagree with the point you're trying to make but I think it's wrong to suggest it's purely down to the officiating.

Of course players have to take a decent amount of the blame but players will always take what they can get and things have now been allowed to go too far mainly due to the modern day rule interpretations and the way referees are being asked to referee games.   Its not easy to referee games in the modern era due to fat suits bringing in new law interpretations that no fan has ever been asked about.  Football used to be a black and white game easy to play and easy to officiate.  Now there are so many grey areas fans, officials and players have no idea at times whether fouls have been committed or not. Hand ball, offside, tackling all used to be simple and straightforward but its now all about interfering with play, hands in unnatural positions,  how much of the ball did the player get in a tackle and was he endangering the opposition player.  All utter bullshit.  Now a days its deemed ok for a player to fall over if there is contact no matter how soft the contact is. Instead of clamping down on this its being encouraged as part of the modern game when to me it was far better when players tried to stay on their feet and tried to beat players through skill and ability rather than looking for fouls. Grappling in the box has gone so far that they now know that it would take weeks of giving out penalties galore to get it back under control something they are unwilling to do. Of course we are all now conditioned to shout for fouls every time a player goes down or gets the ball thumped off his hand from too yards away. Refs are no longer allowed to use common sense when officiating for fear of demotion and this has resulted in robotic officials unwilling to confer with the players under their control.  We used to give the likes of Willie Young etc grief when they officiated but god it was far better in those days when refs could react to the situation and have a blether and a laugh. Call me old fashioned but the modern day game isnt a patch on the one I was brought up watching.
