Can’t tell if tollcross were good or Tranent were awful?

Could be a long season for tranent

Heard from people at the game that Tollcross were very good but Tranent didn't help matters by getting a man sent off early doors (shocking challenge) and not playing the greatest. Were up against it from the start by the sounds of it after mouthing off that they were going to do this and that! As ever, pre-season is always tough to predict and how teams are going to fare throughout a full season!

dinnae know why youz are getting excited about tolcross. tranent where missing players

Tollcross were missing 2 Scottish internationalists and 3 other players. Tranent will implode due to ill discipline this season. Red card tackle was horrific from Ross Ferguson. Lucky for the Tollcross player is wasn't a serious injury.

Premier league is going to be a battle this season, LEAFA will be delighted as there will be an increase on the fines received :-)

Sandys should win this, but their pre-season has been a bit underwhelming, although they regularly deliver in competitive games.

AVU v Tollcross should be a very good game, expecting Tollcross to be too strong but AVU will provide a good test.

Should be a very good final next Friday at Oriam, a repeat of last seasons final??? Who knows!

The 20s leagues not a bad standard to be fair. However as it’s a friendly could’ve had first team players playing and tollcross may have been short. If you look at edi United 20s last few results you’d doubt its the same team that got beaten off newcraighall. I’ve not seen anything for tonight either so I’m afraid I can’t help you there.

Anybody been involved in any good friendlies recently?

We drew 2-2 with Meadowbank last night in a game that could have been really good but was spoilt by a ref not showing up.  p***k text at 6.45 after teams had been out warming up saying running late, it will be 7pm ko then just blanked his phone. Players kicking their heels til back of 7 before our goalie coach had to ref it. Everything was flat and players struggled to get going again in the heat and after that farce.

Meadowbank will do well this year, I think especially on the smaller parks they will be a match for anyone. A team that know each other inside out and are a tight bunch.

Getting ghosted by a ref on the night of a game, that’s a new low for football.

I took in Tranent v Lothian vale tonight. It was a good game ended 4 - 2 Lothian. Tranent were 2 up first goal was a gift 2nd was a free header but Lothian continued to knock the ball around and didnt change the way they played and it paid dividends for them. Tranent were poor imo but Lothian vale look like they could cause upsets. Number 8 for Lothian was a standout

tranent are a howling side and will take a heavy dose of poundings this year lothian look ok there problem will be playing duffers every week then getting prem teams in cups but winning every week gives confidence.no need in some of the mouthy shouts from there sidelines they dont need that as there decent keep it classy

Having won the East, how do you fancy your chances in the scottish this year?

CP can’t play in Scottish this year due to what happened last year with Craigshill
