Hey @daleboy1969 you do realise your club is scheduled to join the seniors at the end of this season, or more likely next? And lets not forget Armadale were one of the clubs that are in favour of Junior clubs leaving the old ways behind and embracing the pyramid.

I'm sure you'll embrace the Senior pyramid or will you move to watching the local King Canute Ams league rather than accept your club progressing?

How many more clubs would need to leave before Armadale decide to join the EoS? Will you take part in the Superleague play-off should you finish 2nd?

Yes we will take part in play off .why would we not

We voted to be part of the pyramid thats correct . We didnt vote to leave junior football . If we improve above the wildest of expectations to a loftier possition in the football system we will still be a junior club the same way that if kelty reach the championship they will still be an eos club . Look into the pyramid system then comment .

I've looked into the pyramid and you are clutching at straws. Kelty in the championship would be an SPFL side, meaningless local associations are long left behind at that level - unless you think Dundee United are chomping at the bit to improve the Forfarshire FA or Falkirk are obsessed with whats happening in the Stirlingshire FA.

They arent, those days are gone - as will the Junior moiniker when you move senior at the end of the season.

Because other West Lothian clubs, like Pumpherston and Bathgate, declined to take part in the Superleague this season and Fauldhouse's manager has said it's difficult financially for his club. Whereas you'd be ok gaining promotion to a league with at least 4 Tayside clubs in it?

If every club left the east juniors armadale thistle would look to be incorporated into the west junior leagues . The people who formed the club following the demise of the senior club and the many that followed have been true to the constitution ( thats the rules for any uneducated) of the club . Only the people of armadale can change that .try bringing a wee soap box to armasale cross to lobby the dale public to force change , without that the dale remains junior with a committee dedicated to the constitution of the club .

That may be so but we started the season knowing what is at stake .if you dont want to progress into the superleague all you have to di is finish third .its not rocket science .we spent many years in the east premier filled with tayside and fife clubs ,one season our nearest rivals were rosyth .we got on with it , yes the cost of travel affected the playing budget but thats the league we were in .

so youd be okay with trips to Ayrshire vs local games in the EOS all for the sake of remaining 'junior'. Aye ok. With the upcoming integrated non-league system senior & junior are going to be terms/grades that dont really mean much.

What happens when the West go Senior, and the East clubs join EoS.   Will it be you on the soapbox pleading for change?

Constitutions can be changed at an AGM

Not sure if you're aware but the West Region is trying to become part of the pyramid, so it will be a senior league.

Well clearly you're a much bigger club than Fauldhouse and the other WL clubs so good luck in your promotion quest.

West Lothian Junior clubs are criticised for travelling to Tayside yet no mention is made of St Andrews and Jeanfield Swifts travelling to the Lothians. These clubs made a choice and good luck to them. Each club will make their own choice and it is time for people trying to coerce clubs to join the EOS stopped.

It's time that having this artificial divide between "junior" and "senior" stopped and all clubs in the same area end up in the same system. There are no differences at all between junior and senior non-league other than a meaningless label, so it's time to unite it.

And there are currently two threads running which cover exactly the same topic.

I think the whole pyramid thing has blinkered people .the juniors will be incorporated into the pyramid THIS DOES NOT MAKE THEM SENIOR. if a junior club progresses into the lowland league they will still be junior ( on the understanding that if they are relegated they will drop back into junior)  likewise if kelty are relegated they will go back to EOS .

Calling these leagues senior is a bit high and mighty after all , the real senior leagues are above the lowland and highland leagues .
