Smith out... Oh wait

McGlynn is getting too easy a ride given the amount of points we drop.
He's still working with the majority of a team he didn't build is his biggest defence. But your right we shouldn't be performing as we did last week and following it up with a loss to as poor a team as Brechin are (no offense intended Brechin fans)

We’ve kept 2 clean sheets since JM took over. We’re doing nothing in the play offs if we don’t sort that out. Form is always going to be inconsistent if you have to score at least 2 goals to win every week.

Hopefully this experienced player McGlynn is after is a defender. Though I’m still convinced the way we set up to play is more of an issue than the individual players. Our best defensive displays have come against the better teams or where circumstances dictate we have to show the opposition more respect (Arbroath, Dunfermline, Stranraer against 10 men) so the back 4 is capable at times.

Ready to be shot down for this but I’d bring Matthews back in at RM. We’re not good enough at the back or quick enough in midfield to get away with playing 2 out and out wingers and 2 upfront.

We are so soft away from home. Embarrassingly soft, fold like deck of fucking cards under the smallest bit of pressure. Arbroath losing is irrelevant, no point being concerned about it. Lewis Vaughan getting yet another serious injury is just about the worst thing that could’ve happened, doesn’t look like he’ll be back any time soon.

Referee thoroughly pish, and I’m not one for going through referees. Brechin’s second goal is scored about 20 seconds after Euan Murray went down with a head injury. The game has to be stopped. The one where he’s booked Duggan at the end for diving is a really bad decision, he’s taken his standing leg away from him, happened right in front of me.

Having said that, we have absolutely no one to blame but ourselves. Shooting ourselves in the foot time and time again. We need to get some momentum together towards the play offs to have any chance. Hopefully Vaughan is back for that.

Euan Anderson and bad penalty decisions go hand in hand.

Remember the clear hand ball denying Ayr a penalty last week against Talbot.

Still no excuse for another inept away performance. We are awful on the road and especially in Angus, with the exception of one game this season.

The second goal should never have got that far up the pitch with the Murray's head knock. f**k knows what the linesman was doing with it.

But you could generally post a word for word review of our game away to Montrose and it would be similar. Gutless in defence, with two central midfielders who were both posted missing. We lacked creativity to do anything and gave away far too much.

Groundhog day. The number of games we we've bottled in Angus over the last two years in incredible.

Indeed. We’ve won 2 out of our last 11 in Angus and both of those were against Arbroath.

Fife might be blue but Angus is RED! :thumsup2

Didn't see too much between the teams in the first half and couldn't grumble at being one down.  Kalvin was immense with his running throughout the match and a deserved man of the match.  Didn't have to many expectations of a draw let alone a win after Raith's win against Dunfermline but absolutely delighted.  Puts us up to 8th as well.

Super John McGlynn helping us out again

Best thing that happened to us was you lads sacking Smith [emoji12]

Smith resigned, m8.

Our results are irrelevant to you now. You could lose another 4 between now and the end of the season and we wouldn’t catch you.

It’s kind of like a “let’s all laugh at Raith Rovers” it’s cute in a way. Whatever happened to that thread, or was it “we hate Raith Rovers thread”

Today summed up in 90 mins our problems.

Played okay, created some chances and on another day could have won.

Problem is the incredibly weak mentality and awful, awful defence.

I'm a massive Mcglynn fan, but his stats make dreadful reading and questions have to be asked as to why we haven't recruited any defensive players.

Brechin were superb in defence and Toshney would stroll into our team. Bet those morons berating him the entire guest half feel daft now.

I can't wait til this season is over to be honest.

Did Smith ever give a reason for resigning?

Rumour is the board wouldn't give him money for more signings, which going by the performance of some of them, was quite right.
