StoneThrowAway
Fair play, decent game from both teams. Love the shithousery in the last few derbies from both teams. Also f**k McManus. Terrible “footballer”

Terrible “footballer” Aye this season derbies have been fantastic. The players really buying into it has made it. As you said the full on goading that both sets of players have had is exactly what it should be like. As well as the punch ups in 2 of them now. Sensational all round. Comrie
Tough one to take, but we're still unbeaten in 90 minutes against Caley for how long now? A proper show of how not to manage a game by County, guilty of the same things Caley were in Dingwall- dropping deep, hopeful punts and a lack of cohesion. Had everything: 4 goals 2 off the post Flares What should have been probably 2 red cards Some absolutely brutal tackles on Gardyne Polworth playing like an absolute shitebag for the entire game McManus shaping to put his penalty to he right before he took it, Ridgers pointing to that spot, before McManus tamely sidefooted it right there the absolute sack. Staggie#Wearethehighlands
Thoughts:Cracking cup tie. Gutted to lose obv but either team could have won tbf. What a total W**k Rooney is [emoji23]I'd be genuinely embarrassed to have him in our squad. At least Tremarco had the dignity and sense to get him out of the way.

StoneThrowAway
Also thought taking Spence off was a mistake, him and draper in the middle were pretty effective. Draper reminded me of his old self tonight from when he used to boss us in derby games.
RossCountyFan14
Even being in the losing end, can’t deny what a fantastic cup tie (both games) that was. 8 goals. Cards, punches, scrapping, pen shootout, shithousery, the lot. Great advert for the derby.sportsound on the radio in about the ‘friendly derby’ how county fans go watch caley when county play away and vice versa... WHAT? Load of shite.County could do far worse than taking a punt on Coll Donaldson at CB, consistently their best player. Was Not overly fussed on a cup run and wouldn’t of cared too much had we gone out earlier because the league is our main priority it’s just shite that it’s to caley and by pens and the fact that Dundee Utd quarterfinal was a great chance to get a semi final at hampden for a wee pay day. Neither us nor caley are winning anyway so oh well. Promotion is our main priority and we’ve got a cup final against the welsh albeit the diddy cup. Need a wee dig in somewhere so imagine almost being out numbered in your own stadium [emoji23][emoji23]Feck it onwards and upwards Staggies.Ps Stewart hates the caley

RossP
Anyone know which of the ICT players are suspended for the Dundee Utd game... as we’ve had quite a few yellow cards in this tournament so far?
The DA
A fantastic advert for Scottish football. Two of the top 4 Championship sides can't be separated over 210 minutes of football. A goal every half-hour or so. Superb. No idea whether the football itself was any good but who cares?

County played some nice stuff in bursts but lacked a killer ball but had periods of dreadful sloppiness. Caley were much the same, at times unable to put three passes together at others forcing us into our own half.

Loki
Good luck to Caley in the next round. Taking United to a replay would do fine.I’d quite like to see Gardyne play in behind a striker. Give Armstrong a run on the left, to see what he can do.Disappointing to lose, but it saves us another midweek match. From memory have we still only made the quarter finals of this cup twice? Comrie
I think with Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts, Sevco/Killie still in the cup, there wasn't much chance of either us getting to the final. Every possibly semi-final match is a nasty one.
Sherrif John Bunnell
Meh. A bit disappointing to lose after being in front twice, but we've got bigger fish to fry than the Scottish Cup. I think some County fans are being a bit harsh on McManus, especially when Fox should have saved the last penalty.
Spain
Apart from McManus being dreadful from the second he came on, I actually think pretty much all of our players had a pretty good game. Just a shame we yet again played the completely wrong formation. Management team need to accept that they've signed too many strikers and just do without some of them. If you're going to play Gardyne & Mullin (which IMO you absolutely should be), go with one striker up top and play 3 CM's. Still, entertaining game and if it wasn't for the fact it was Caley I'd have been quite happy going out at this stage anyway. League has to be the priority.
