Clyde vs Cowdenbeath

Recommended Posts

Tough game up next for us against a Cowdenbeath side who have continually improved as the seasons went on.

Our first game without Goodwillie will make it an even bigger test but hopefully someone else - Syversten IMO - can come in and take their chance in Goodie's absence.

Cowden will also have an eye on playing Rangers midweek after our meeting which could favour us slightly.

3 points is a must if we are to keep up with the top two and take advantage of Edinburgh's poor run of form!

We have been improving our play and results lately. This is a big test however. Clyde not having Goodwillie available is undoubtedly a boost for us. Let’s see if we can compete and get something from the game.

A little worried with DGW missing on Saturday after our last performance he was missing against Edinburgh earlier in the season when we had virtually no threat up front but to be fair a lot of players have upped their game since then. We don't have much room for many more slip ups. Hopefully we have enough to get 3 pts on Saturday.

Didn't work in Elgin’s favour.

The full week before? Hardly the same.

Elgin are shite, in any case. Never been this poor in the Leagues before.

Unquestionably a difficult match for us, but that's a very good thing at this stage. Personally i'm a little uncomfortable at the ease with which we've won three of our last four games, as the dominance hasn't been reflected in the scoreline. Complacency would be unforgivable given how the top of the table is bending to our every whim, lately. The perseverance required against Annan and at Peterhead will have to be redoubled in the absence of DGW.

Rocks on the pitch or ‘faulty covers’ please until DGW is fit again.

I'm pretty sure there was a game called off last season or the season before at Broadwood because of a frozen pitch.

Plastic pitches are definitely the way forward.

1) Why is Goodwillie missing?
2) Why do Clyde fans refer to him as DGW? Goodwillie is not two separate names, it should simply be DG.

Because we used to have David Gormley  (DG) playing alongside him.  Now that DG has gone we have just continued using DGW.
