People who don’t put the milk in the door compartment are OFTW

That’s the worst place to put it.

The door is the warmest spot of the fridge and where the temperature fluctuates the most.

Keep items like jam, chutneys and assorted condiments in the door.
Put milk on a shelf at the back of the fridge.

Absolutely not. It’s one of the most used items in the fridge. Easy access is key to have the door open for as little time as possible. You don’t want to be messing about trying to get to the back of the fridge for your milk.

Jam and condiments, apart for mayo, don’t belong in the fridge. I’d be willing to sacrifice the milk positioning for cans of Tennents but that’s it.

Bread in the fridge ?

FWIW, I keep my bread in the cupboard until it's the day before it's sell by, and then chuck it in the freezer and just use it for toast/toasties. Never in my life have I seen someone keep it in the fridge.

On the topic of bread; are we white, brown or *gulp* wholemeal?
