auld yin wae knowledge
The League being allowed to change promotion and relegation in mid of a season is very surprising, [ granted no club is losing out ] but when The SAFL tried to change mid season a few years ago we were told by The SAFA could not get done as clubs have to be told at the start of every season the situation with promotion / relegation so they know what they are playing for...…...but hey ho looks as if a new precedent been set..... As for the numbers in Division 1 wow 30 game and 26 in Premier plus cup ties, a lot of midweeks games if a club in any division is successful in Scottish /West even Rothesay could struggle to complete...…..saying that the numbers maybe drop before the new season. I wish the League / clubs well Edited February 2, 2019 by auld yin wae knowledge

I wish the League / clubs well The member clubs voted for the new structure by a majority at the last league meeting. Nothing was forced upon anyone. With eddlewood folding, that means div 1A will be complete after 14 games. A total farce.

LoveFitbaw
Hearing no new clubs accepted into the Cali for next season. Not sure if none have applied or they aren’t accepting anyone due to the league being restructured.

Gaf
Read quite a bit of this topic and got to say the reconstruction will be great for the league as an overall. Right now 1A looks the tighter and stronger league. However that's taking no credit away form East Kilbrides achievement as they really are a fantastic team. Next season you will have two healthy and competitive leagues with some cracking fixtures. There are a few teams still finding their feet but are still young and with every season that goes on will get better. Hopefully no one folds but if they do this would have less effect on the table. I noticed that Cambusbarron looked good for minimum promotion but with a team folding they now rely on others helping them out when there success could be destroyed by other teams folding. Eaglesham looked out of the promotion race but now right back in it as the folded teams results favoured them. It can't be helped but does seem unfair. Five teams can win Division 1A with it impossible to call.

Five teams can win Division 1A with it impossible to call. Cambusbarron and Milngavie are the only two teams in the top 5 who hadn't played Eddlewood yet. Eddlewood had taken points off Kilsyth, Eaglesham and Doune during the season so Cambusbarron and Milngavie have been the biggest losers out of that. Milngavie in particular will be spewing as they beat Cambusbarron and Kilsyth back to back after Xmas to put themselves in a good position and now it's out of their hands again. Cambusbarron only have 3 games left and still to play Kilsyth and Doune. If Cambusbarron put 9 points on the board from their last 3 games they'll fancy themselves to finish 2nd minimum with everybody else in the top 5 cutting each others throats. It's going to be a cracking run in.
Crazy Feet
Eaglesham and Kilsyth game was postponed yesterday. Milngavie won 4-2 away at Dal Riata to jump into 2nd place a point off Cambusbarron but with a game in hand over them. Cambusbarron v Dal Riata Doune v Kilsyth (biggy) Weirs v Milngavie Fixtures this week. Edited February 10, 2019 by Crazy Feet
