Word associations can tell a lot about a person here.

Most people: a transparent layer of ice coating the road / pavement.

Airdrie fan: cheap vodka that comes in glass bottle form.

Referring to ice as being black could be construed as racist, so what does that say about you?

The deflection  and denial across the day on social media from the ‘best supporters in the world’ has been something special. Every Celtic scumbag, who doesn’t appear to have been witness to anything themselves (and likely weren’t there), claiming the videos were Airdrie fans (including the one with the tricolour and PIRA chanting in it), sending DM’s threatening a number of people who dare tell the truth, calling out others caught up in the cowardly bottle throwing as liars, stating it was all the nasty section B’s fault (despite them not being there), or that it was because Tommy Robinson was in attendance (despite him not being there), that Airdrie fans were chucking bricks onto the pitch after being kept in at full time(!?), that the smelly tramp that ran on the park at the end from the Celtic end was an Airdrie supporter.... etc

Amazing stuff. And I think from everything I’ve seen there has been one acceptance it happened! And even then it was from the perspective of “you deserved it”.

It might have been a minority that were causing the aggro but it’s quickly becoming the majority that are going out there way to lie, threaten and talk shite to Airdrie supporters.

Anyway it’s a brilliant read all the same. Maybe see you all next season if we’re lucky enough to draw you.

Regardless of the made up stories, whataboutery and point scoring, there does need to be serious questions asked of the way Celtic and the Police handled this. It is a fact that entirely innocent fans got off supporters buses (in an area agreed by Celtic FC), were effectively held there by police and had bottles launched at them.

I don't blame Celtic for having a scumbag element to their support, every club does and it stands to reason that bigger clubs will have more. But they and the police have a responsibility to ensure that fans in the vicinity of the stadium are safe, and they clearly failed in this regard. Particularly fans who did literally nothing to 'deserve it' - as seems to be the party line amongst Celtic fans. The supporters trust are absolutely correct to ask questions about this. In light of the recent incident with the crush a stone's throw away from the same area (no pun intended), perhaps it wouldn't do any harm for Celtic and the Police to review this properly instead of opting for the usual whataboutery stance.

Thing is....nobody got their c**t kicked in. There were limited punches thrown. Celtic fans were content to throw bottles, cans stones etc but they never managed to break though the police line, despite vastly outnumbering the cops. Whether they actually wanted a scrap, I don't know. As I say they seemed content to hurl stuff indiscriminately.

What is the point in having a squadron of battle-hardened Neo-Nazis on your side if they don’t even protect you from a ragtag band of whinging leftie ranged units.

Yeah, they'd have bought their magic anti-brick and bottle shield. As I said, very few punches were thrown. Celtic fans launched stuff indiscriminately. Even Tommy Robinson couldn't have helped us...

Nobody seems to have mentioned either that most of us, if not all of us who were kept on the other side of London Road and subsequently missed the kick-off were allowed to enter the stadium without using our ticket. I’m not suggesting that there was anyone in our area that did not have a ticket but there could have been. Not on the same scale but clearly lessons have not been learned from Hillsborough. If the police were that concerned about getting everyone in they should have delayed the kick-off.

Not quite. Just pointing out you’re vermin. Imagine a wee team like Airdrie causing  Celtic so much grief. A quick look on Twitter shows you whose heads have gone.

What you want to do is counter the ranged units with a flanking charge from the elite Neo Nazi scumbag troops. Them being  on a jolly 1km away with the Sheff Wed and Chelsea supporters was a bigger betrayal than that bit in Braveheart where Rab the Bruce was busy palling about with Longshanks at Falkirk while all the lads were burning to death from flaming arrows.

Say what you will about Albion Rovers, but their top bois never let their vulnerable supporters fall victim to one of our famous Scottish Cup onslaughts a couple of years ago.

It wouldn’t have worked. You had a much more mobile force of police cavalry able to respond to any attempts to flank.

Without the protection of static defence works, the infantry wouldn’t have stood a chance.

Why would you attack the fans of one of your vassal clubs?

Is this the first admission that it actually happened? Scum.
