Bundesliga Tickets April 2019

Recommended Posts

Myself and 3 friends are interested in going to a match in German from Glasgow near the end of season. Looking for advice to see what the best way is gain tickets to a match. The clubs don't sell the tickets this far advance, so what is the best chance of getting a tickets for the likes of Dortmund, Bayern , Stuttgart or Schalke?

Stuttgart are dead easy. They'll sell them through the club website and send them to your address. Check for the big festival that's on at the same time. Carnival and beer tents just along from the ground. Only issue with Stuttgart is if the game moves for to and you miss it, their ain't many alternative Bundesliga clubs within a hike. Another option is Dusseldorf. Ticks boxes for everyone on this forum. Brilliant city to stay in and tones of clubs within easy strike. You'll struggle with Schalke or Dortmund tickets, but other clubs shouldn't be too hard. Berlin is also a great shot, but like Stuttgart, not many other options locally if game is moved. Frankfurt is also a good option with quite a few other local clubs. Easy for tickets as well. For anyone going for the first time though, it's gotta be Dusseldorf!

It all depends on what games you’ll be looking at. Dortmund or Bayern tickets towards the end of the season with it looking likely they’ll be fighting it out for the title, will probably cost quite a bit from secondary ticket sites.

I’m going over to Frankfurt for the Dortmund game in a couple of weeks and paid about 8 times the face value of a ticket from Viagogo. Obviously with Dortmund sitting top of the league and Frankfurt going well, the tickets are in very high demand.

My suggestion would be head to Düsseldorf for the weekend, it’s a great city. From there you can take your pick of games as well as Düsseldorf, you’ve got; Dortmund, Cologne, Leverkusen, Essen, Duisburg, Monchengladbach, Bochum and Gelsenkirchen all within about 25 miles of Düsseldorf and easily accessible on the trains.

Do you happen to know when the games get moved about for TV? We're heading to the Fruhlingsfest beer festival in April and looking to get to Stuttgart game on Saturday 27th  against Monchenladbach.

We went the same week last season and the Germans usually release dates in blocks of about 5 weeks. I'd be looking about the beginning of April. Keep checking up on a daily basis about this time. They'll post tickets out to your address as well. We also did Kaiserslautern on the same weekend, but it was a bit of a hike.
