Clyde01
Do I really have to state the obvious? If you get relegated from the other leagues, you are still a league club. It's not a probable death sentence as hung over Cowdenbeath. I'll give you the other side of that argument. If a lower or highland league club wants to get into the Scottish league, it should be able to prove it is at least better than the worst club in it. If it can fair enough, if it can't it shouldn't be there. If getting relegated is a probable death sentence then your club is not being run correctly imo. East Stirlingshire haven’t died, just had to adapt to their new level.Your second point is bollocks too and shows you don’t really grasp the concept of a pyramid. By winning the lowland or highland league then the low/high play off you have earned promotion on sporting merit, equally if you finish bottom of league 2 you deserve to go down. It’s nothing to do with ‘proving’ you are better than the team you are replacing.
Thom & Gerry
Think the Dingwall we were after went to Stenhousemuir(brother of one who went to Raith). As for Mchale, seems strange to waste a loan on a goalie when we have Mchale but he had a nightmare at Stirling so I’m nae convinced about him either. Cowden Cowboy
Your second point is bollocks too and shows you don’t really grasp the concept of a pyramid.Ditto - a pyramid can have any rules for moving between levels it likes. Ground criteria, play offs, etc. You don't have copyright on that concept

Having to prove you are better than a team above should not be a factor in moving up the pyramid. Being absolutely dugshite for 2 seasons and saving yourself via a penalty shootout once and clearing out the opponents goalkeeper another time shouldn’t be an option. You should have been relegated, as should whoever finishes bottom this season.

You should have been relegated, as should whoever finishes bottom this season. Cove Rangers were able to rest players and play trialists for the last few games of their season. Cowdenbeath were not allowed to do that as the rules are different for each league. Also despite the veneer of respectability of non league football, anyone with even a slight knowledge of those leagues know that players are paid in various ways outwith the rules to avoid HMRC so i don’t disagree with the pyramid aims and your point about sporting integrity but there needs to be a bit of work done in non league to make sure it’s a level playing field. There remain licensing criteria which mean there are certain criteria that can stop clubs progressing up the pyramid in pretty much the same manner that stymied Falkirk

The Minertaur
Highlights are up. Some really well taken goals! Allan looks a tricky player to defend against.
