Harry Johnston was the first name that sprang to my mind. Also, wasn't there a David Johnston who was signed with Hearts and went on to play rugby for Scotland? I also think that Chris Balderstone of Carlisle United might have played county level cricket in England. No idea if he went any further than that. Staying with cricket, didn't Ian Botham play a game or two for somebody like Scunthorpe or Southport?

Chris Balderstone played for England in 2 test matches. He had an excellent County Cricket career principally for Leicestershire.

Rebecca Romero was a silver medallist for team GB in rowing in the 2004 olympics and then won gold in Beijing 2008 in her new sport of track cycling.

Scotland winger Thom Evans was forced into early retirement from him rugby union career after a serious injury in 2010 but then proceeded to finish 4th in the Scottish 60m sprint championships. Most famous one will surely be when Michael Jordan played baseball when he was banned by the NBA for his gambling addiction but who wanted to keep it quiet, allowing him to return following the ban retired the first time.

Was Thom (or was it his brother Max) not also pro golfer?

Filip Sebo has become a triathlete. He's unlikely to be worrying any of the pros, but he's qualified and race at the Xterra world championship and a WTS event in the 30-34 age group. So he must be pretty quick.

Victoria Pendleton springs to mind. Champion athlete and has gone on to become a jockey. Not sure how she's done tbh.

Closer to home, Keaghan Jacobs was apparently a very good youth cricket player only to change sports and become a vital cog in the Amber machine

All 4 Jacobs brothers were very good cricketers.

Jordan only played Minor League Baseball and was never close to being called up to the Majors. He was pretty poor and was only kept around in the Minor leagues for the novelty value.

Sticking with US sports there has been a few who have played NFL and MLB. The most notable being Deoin Sanders who played in the Superbowl and the World Series (Winning 2 Superbowls and losing 1 World Series)

Unless you're saying minor league baseball isn't a different sport from Basketball, I'm not quite sure what you're picking me up on?

Also, he wasn't kept around for novelty value, he was kept around through a private agreement designed to save-face all round until his gambling ban from basketball had been served. That's the only reason he had anything to do with baseball at all.

Not picking you up on anything, just pointing out that he didn't play and wasn't close to playing top flight baseball so to say he played baseball as well as basketball is not quite as impressive as it sounds.

Here is an article  about his baseball time
