Police v Clergy

Some years ago a programme appeared on Ebay for a "Police v Clergy" challenge match at Queen of the South on Thursday 16th May 1935. There is a photo of the cover online, plus there was a scan of (at least some of) the inside pages, as I noted down the clergy team and tried to identify the ministers, vicars and priests involved.

Here is the cover and my notes:

385.jpg

MELROSE - Rev John Melrose, Dumfries Greyfriars (Church of Scotland)?

BORROWMAN -  Rev Alexander S Borrowman, Torthorwald (Church of Scotland)?
ROCK - Rev William Rock, Kirkpatrick-Irongray (Church of Scotland)?

HADDOW - Rev James M Haddow, Buittle & Kirkennan (Church of Scotland)?
SNOW - Rev William GS Snow, curate at Dumfries St John's (Scottish Episcopal Church)?
DOLLAR - ?

SMELLIE - Rev John L Smellie, Annan Erskine (Church of Scotland)?
BREEN - Father Lawrence Breen, Dumfries St Andrew's (Roman Catholic Church)?
COCKBURN - Rev Harold A Cockburn, Dumfries St Michael's (Church of Scotland)?
SCANLON - Father Edward Scanlan, Annan (Roman Catholic Church)?
FAIRLIE - Rev Paul Fairlie, Dumfries St Andrew's (Church of Scotland)?

Despite the fairly unusual surnames I was unable to identify obvious candidates for midfielder Dollar. Perhaps he was from a small denomination e.g. Baptist, Methodist, etc.

Does anyone have details of the match? Who won? Was it a one-off or repeated in subsequent years?

I likely have some details at home. There was some info in the club minutes around it as it was hosted at Palmerston, but it wasn't our game so I doubt it records the result. There were often challenge matches played at Palmerston in aid of the Infirmary in that time period. Pre season trial games also raised funds for it.
