I think I put about 115 hours into Valhalla as pure junk food play. Yeah I'm sure there's a happy medium as it's not like even the old games with Ezio etc were by any means short. Ubisoft presumably are keen to keep people playing in the hope that they'll spend money on new weapons, outfits, tat etc. I still liked Valhalla but as you say it was too long and with not a great deal of variety to it.
