Savage Henry
Mal Blum’s Pity Boy is a pretty great example of how pop punk need not be banal rubbish. It’s up there for me in what’s been quite a thin year.
Christophe
Been caning the Purple Mountains record hard since release yesterday...it’s excellent. Actually reckon it’s be best thing Berman’s ever done.

Could spend a long while with those two.

Yoss
In the midst of a quiet few weeks for both albums and gigs, but the first single from the upcoming Richard Dawson album is as good as anything I've heard all year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGiQ_-Ktpvc

FBadgers
Gave new Slipknot a go, and would recommend. A band ive kinda just not bothered with since Iowa as tastes changed. May well fill in gap now from then to most recent.

Less shouty, more tuneful... and Corey Taylor can sing alright. Great band.

Sauzee#4
The Slipknot album is a cracker, there’s only really one song I’d say I’m not keen on and that’s My Pain. Nero Forte in particular is a belter of a tune.
Nizzy
August...what can you say, the new Ride, Oh Sees and King Gizzard albums all released on the same day, plus Ty Segall's latest offering released earlier in the month. The Gizz album is punchy as f*ck - desperately looking forward to their Barrowland gig in October. My favourites from the latter three albums:
Ira Gaines
Quite liking the heaviness of the King Gizzard one.
