Bo'ness history - Day by day

Recommended Posts

1979 now and a much-postponed Junior Cup 3rd round tie with Wishaw finally went ahead.  The BU's hadn't played since two days before Christmas.  Recreation Park was the venue for the 3-0 win.  The team was:  Howie, Robertson, McQueen, Miller, Stewart, Boyd, Dunleavie, Masterton, Logan (Craw), Reid, McDonald sub Taylor.

Bobby Masterton scored a double and Ian Miller netted a penalty.

For those who didn't get the teaser yesterday, churchbacon was a big clue.  The player was James Kirkham!

Continuing the theme of trialist 'keepers, let's go back to 2007 and a 2-2 draw at Lochee.  The difference is, this 'keeper was signed.

Bo'ness travelled to First division Penicuik in 2006 for a St Michaels Cup tie.  The home team were a man down after only 19 minutes but still took the lead.  The BU's were level at half-time and took command in the 2nd half to win 4-2  The line-up was: Carlin, Brown, Russell (Parkin), Smith, C Martin, Morrison, Jeffrey, Donnelly, Roberts (Winning), O'Boyle (Anthony), McInally

Goals came from George O'Boyle, Gary Smith, David Morrison & Jamie Winning.
