Was this not the game that made the press where a man on Musselburgh’s bench that allegedly nobody knew who he was assaulted our then assistant manager? No that game was at Newtown where the guy had a go at Will before he and Wilcox were involved in a fracas. Has that ever been resolved.

Jambo'ness
Back a couple of days and I have to apologise for the release of 'fake news'. It was not our own Stuart Hunter that was given a red card, difficult as he wasn't playing but Michael Hunter of Musselburgh for two yellows. I deeply regret the heartache and misery this has caused amongst some fans and hope that Stuart recovers soon.

Jambo'ness
1963 and it's Whitburn again, this time at Newtown in a League clash. Both sides were to finish mid-table and the BU's played 3 trialists up front. Nobody could have foresaw the 8-1 win that would be achieved. One of the trialists, Jim Thomson, from Royston Juvs notched a hat-trick. George Johnstone scored 2 including a penalty and Dick Sneddon hit a double too, Joe Young hitting the other. The team was: Allan, Cram, McCallum, Mitchell, Scott, Johnstone, Thomson, Newman, Sneddon, Young, Newman

This was the only day @Auld Heid posted something interesting, and @Specky first managed to spell a word with more than 5 letters correctly, albeit on the Bo’ness thread. Such was the magnitude of the posts, players were late for games all over the country having stopped to read the aforementioned posts, read them again they were so good, then text all their mates to say ‘Have you seen Auld Heid and Specky’s posts??’
