Jambo'ness
Certainly, the team bus broke down, which led to a late kick-off. Not sure if picked up by Supporters Club as it was a full bus that day. Remember feeling distinctly unchuffed when I couldn't get on. Got a last-minute lift and expected to miss first 20 mins but got there for kick-off due to break down.

Jambo'ness
Aug 12th In 1992, it was still League Cup time and the BU's travelled to Sauchie. They would not have expectedto come back with an 8-2 win however. Strangely, no hat-tricks that day but Jimmy Burns and Paul McLaren hit doubles, the latter including a penalty. Singles came from George Allison, Gary Dalton, Gary McLennan & Bryan Purdie
Jambo'ness
Aug 13th 1963 and 3 days after winning at Prestonfield, the BU's hosted Camelon for the first home League match that season. Nobody could have predicted the final score of 5-5 and I do wish I had a match report to hand!. The BU scorers were Joe Young, a double from Kenny Gillespie and 2 own goals thrown in for good measure. The team was: Allan, Cram, McCallum, Mitchell, W Campbell, Johnstone, Gibb, Myles, Gillespie, Young, Hannah
