You got it.  The so and so went down to earn them a penalty as well.  He was just a trialist.

The same man who in his Alloa days missed a game or training (forget which) because he was being held hostage in Glenochil.

A wee cup final teaser to test everyone.  Penicuik is of course now a 'senior' venue.  How many other senior grounds have Bo'ness played cup finals on.  To avoid confusion, it had to have been the home of a senior team at the time.

If you can come up with totals all the better but include replays!

Can only think of Hampden, Ibrox, Easter Road and Tynecastle.  Maybe Firs Park Falkirk.

You were right with your first 4!  We have played an incredible 13 times at Easter Road, 9 at Tynecastle, 5 at Hampden & 2 at Ibrox

Another Final and this time it's in 1955 and the Brown Cup, hosted at Tynecastle.  The opponent were Bathgate Thistle, the same team that the BU's had beaten 4-1 a fortnight previously to lift the St Michaels Cup.  This was a more close-run affair, ending 2-1 to the BU's.  Jimmy Boyd & Jim Carruthers got the goals.

The team was: Ronald, Mitchell, Donnelly, Hogg, McBlain, Hall, McKeown, Carruthers, Boyd, Jarvie, Harrower

1947 and at the 3rd time of asking, Renfrew were finally defeated 4-2.  The headline in the Sunday Post read "Picture goal was 'Final' passport", referring to the 3rd goal  at the end of a brilliant move.  The scorers were John McGowan, Jim McLean & a double from Willie Dickson.  The attendance at Hampden was 54,414, meaning over 112,000 had seen the 3 games!

The team was: Stanners, W. Mitchell, Brash, Paton, Stewart, McKie, McGowan, Dickson, McLean, Pryde, Mills

2011 for a teaser now and the scene similar to recent times as the squad was hit by injuries and suspensions.  For a visit to Musselburgh, ending 2-2. only 12 outfield players were fit.  Who was the unlikely player wearing the number 9 jersey?
