We have a bit of a dilemma here; if we sit as deep as we did in the second half against Partick then Ross County's midfield will dominate us in a way that Partick simply don't have the ability in their squad to do. If we push out higher than we did against Partick then Ross County can expose our defenders' inability to...erm...defend.  If we had a credible out ball then the lack of midfield support would be less of an issue, but we can only piss with the cock we have for the moment.

If we can address that balance between protecting the back four and not completely surrendering the midfield area then we have an outside chance. If we fail to do that then we could be looking at another pumping.

What happened to the Morton that scored 2 good goals at home to beat County earlier in the season?

Denny Johnstone is out injured and our new manager is a fan of trying to fit square pegs into round holes.

Do you have any pace in your side? Sitting deep and hitting us on direct ball counters is exceedingly effective.

If your keeper could rush 25 yards off his line then allows one of our players to lob him, that would be grand :)

Nah, Fox isn't that keen on leaving his line. He'll happily do a Cryuff turn or two for you, though.

Would definitely expect Tidser to come in for Lyon, but not so sure that  Waddell will start after both our centre backs solid showing against Thistle.

Similar kind of game expected for us, whereby we'll allow County to have a lot of the ball and expect to hit them on the break. This is a big game for Jim McAlister, he needs to be at his best in that defensive midfield role for us to have any chance in this game IMO.

Back 5 for us (I think) and Michael Tidser is stuck on the bench. Not feeling confident.

Thought Tidser has been below par in the last few games. Maybe carrying a knock?

I hope so. He shouldn’t be out the team unless he’s injured.

Below par because that moron in the dugout won’t play him where he actually impacts a game. The team should be built around Tidser every week.
