pandarilla
The best left wing analysis you can get these days is from people on Twitter with names like icum4mao and daddylenin.Hmmm. I'm not sure about that.

I read the Independent, Guardian, BBC News, Telegraph, Express, Record, National and P&J on an app. Buy Private Eye. Does that count? No. Even that's gone way downhill over the years - mainly, I think because Ian Hyslop's become such a pompous little prat.
pandarilla
No. Even that's gone way downhill over the years - mainly, I think because Ian Hyslop's become such a pompous little prat.It still gives wee nuggets though. I'd definitely be counting it.

Yes, but mainly to check the news headlines. I don't find it too bad - usually enjoy Kevin McGuire's contributions and one or two others. Ayesha Hazarika is good too. It's more balanced and better presented than BBC news - I just need a hint of Nick Robinson's voice on there to make me reach for the off switch. Hyslop absolutely hates the Labour left. He imagines that his comfy little entitled world would be torn apart if someone like Corbyn got into No 10. He’s the sort of hypocrite that thinks society’s ills can be addressed by charity and tinkering at the edges rather than fundamental structural change. I'm Brian
6 hours ago, ThatBoyRonaldo said: Not for years. Read the guardian and BBC websites daily though which I suppose amounts to the same thing. The FT is the best paper in Britain - just a shame it's so focused on economic/finance news which isn't relevant to most people. Of the mass market papers, the record is probably the pick of the bunch, if you can look past the questionable politics and lowest common denominator stuff. The National is unfortunately the very definition of a good idea poorly executed. A genuine gap in the market for a quality, mass market pro-independence daily but it has just turned into a newsletter for the die-hards, many of whom I get the impression are buying it at least partly out of loyalty to the idea rather than the quality of the paper. It's as partisan as the Daily Mail is. It's an awful publication. I bought it once and never will again. It amazes me the amount of criticism I receive when I say I don't buy it. Some folks I know buy multiple copies. "They'll stop printing it if we don't keep the circulation up" I occasionally click on the odd online article, but the articles tend to be brutal. I want balanced and critical reporting from a newspaper and unfortunately there are none out there. Used to read the Scotsman/Scotland on Sunday religiously, but stopped when they went downhill. I'll flick through the copies of rags that are left at work but that's because I am bored. These days I get all of my news from Facebook so I am always #ITK concerning shady looking characters trying to nick dogs and cars

BB_Bino
On an almost daily basis I by the Scottish Sun [emoji85] BUT it’s purely because no other newspaper covers Scottish football as well as it and you tend to find lots of good articles about our clubs or from the National team. Until another newspaper or magazine covers our game like The Sun does then sadly I’ll have to continue to put my principles to one side. I hate the rest of the paper, it’s an absolute rag that hates the working class and being a Left Winger who hates celeb culture, I can’t read the paper. So I also buy The Morning Star and occasionally I buy The National because they are geared more towards my beliefs and interests. Am I influenced by them, I don’t think I am directly, but obviously I hunt out things that I agree with s there is a good chance that TMS and The Nat reaffirm what I believe in.My problem with The Nat is that it doesn’t hold the SNP to account very often, and although I Back independence I don’t support the SNP’s vision of Indy. The Morning Star is very English focused and over looks the socialist inequality and plight in Scotland. The ideal daily for me would be a Left Wing newspaper, that backs Independence and has great coverage of Scottish Football [emoji23]

It's all part of a general decline in standards. Strangely enough, I can remember my grandfather talking about that decline as long ago as the early 1960s. Billy Rubin
The National needs to drop the - "Newspaper that supports an Independent Scotland" tagline and start filling the paper with stuff that folk actually buy a paper for and if that included a good looking girl on page 3 and lots of football coverage then so be it. I need to stop paying attention to it, it's like a soap opera with really vile characters who are determined to make everything shittier than it already is, but you feel you have to tune into the next episode. I check Trump's tweets every day FFS, which is exactly what the c**t wants.

Please, stop playing silly games and engage with the posts, not the poster.
Antlion
I see someone’s a fan of Thomas Harris’ The Silence of the Lambs. Bilirubin is a yellow compound that occurs in the normal catabolic pathway that breaks down heme in vertebrates. This catabolism is a necessary process in the body's clearance of waste products.
