Rangers V The Champions.

So why don't we see the same "excellent refereeing performances" in games that aren't that game?

For the same reason the Forrest has had the season of his life, yet been completely anonymous today. People are keen to slate referees when they have poor performances yet extremely hesitant to offer praise when they do well.

It's not even close to a fair comparison. It's not about being hesitant. It's much easier to notice a bad refereeing performance than a good one.

We all know there will only be 4 good refereeing performances a season and we all know exactly what games they will be.

That’s laziness at best then, isn’t it? It may be easier to notice refereeing errors than proficiency, but that doesn’t make people praising Beaton’s performance wrong.

I really dont get how they ref is even being questioned for having a poor game. He's been very good. Be easier to card a lot of tackles and ruin the game.

But yellows and reds are much better than this lenient style of officiating in a derby.
