Smokies v Rovers

Recommended Posts

Raith by far the better team yesterday and deserved the win. The red card, as wild as it was, deflects from our poor performance. Both Rovers wingers were brilliant, can only hope Armstrong isn’t here after January.

Have to add that it’s hilarious seeing forfar and Montrose fans queuing up to have a pop because we’ve actually lost a game, laugh out loud.

Have to agree the wingers were excellent yesterday, but possibly a longer stud required, to keep them on their feet, in fact maybe, Santa could oblige

Thought Raith were better all over pitch in the first half, Managed to nullify Linn and their two wide players were excellent, particularly the boy who scored the free kick. McGlynn has massively improved them from the last game we played where we really should’ve won. If they can play like that every week we may have a title race.

The sending off is obviously a complete joke, actually embarrassing. We can really take heart from the way we dug in 2nd half with ten men and made a real fight of it and still confident we won’t lose many games. Losing O’Brien and the option to bring McCord on were additional blows and highlighted how thin we are with numbers.

Unfortunately therein lies our problem. Saturday was our first 90 minute performance since beating Dumbarton in McGlynn’s 1st game

Linn had to spend a lot of the game covering his full back (Hamilton?) who was on a booking and being tormented by Armstrong, which helped massively in nullifying Arbroath

Well considering we are appealing it I think you must be able to. Think because it was for simulation you are allowed to appeal it.

No you’re not appealing it because it’s impossible to appeal a yellow card.

Arbroath aren’t the only club to have suffered from a player getting wrongly booked for simulation and then not been able to appeal it.

Either you’ve been misinformed or more likely talking pish.

They would lose the appeal regardless as it was a clear dive.

Correct Gayf78 simulation is the only yellow you can appeal, Aberdeen's Cosgrove, Watt when he was at Hearts and Morellis have all had yellows for simulation overturned so all you experts who were calling Gayf78 an idiot think again.

The successful appeal of Swankie is probably just the SPFL trying to deflect attention from the fact they clearly instructed the ref to try and help Raith prolong this title procession.

hmm, surely dismissing the appeal would have had a better outcome for their undeniable aims then?

Seems like they've made a mistake there.

They would be re-affirming their bias by upholding the farcical decision.

This way they can probably get away with another 'honest mistake'
